  1. In the brackets that you listed earlier, you'd switch Merrimack and UNH, that way you could have both Duluth and Wisconsin in the Green Bay regional. I'd also switch the Sioux and DU so that the Sioux would play in St. Louis w/DU going to Manchester. In other words, a bracket like this: Bridgeport: Yale vs UNO Notre Dame vs RPI Manchester: Denver vs Dartmouth Michigan vs New Hampshire Green Bay: Duluth vs Atlantic Hockey Champion Wisconsin vs Merrimack St. Louis: North Dakota vs Union BC vs Western Michigan There is no way they are going to keep Wisconsin out of Green Bay.
  2. Correct. Also, it will make sure that the Thursday Night winner won't have to play Friday Afternoon.
  3. For Saturday, if you are trying to find anything more than 1 seat, it's SRO. If you don't mind splitting up the group, you can get 1 seat in decent locations.
  4. I'd put Brock Nelson in the list at least. I don't think he is a very legitimate threat to leave, but he was a first rounder, and he was also drafted by the Isles. I'd say probably around the 5% range.
  5. Agreed about Kristo. He has put a lot of his shots right into the goalie's midsection. Frattin, is a monster. He has such a wonderful shot. Our top goal scorer last year was Gregoire with 20...Frattin already has 15. We could very well be watching a 30-35 goal season. It's also not out of the realm of possibility to see him put up 40...something that hasn't been done in about 20 years in college hockey. As for Dell, he's earned the start each night. I wouldn't mind seeing Eidsness get a couple of games in, but he has to earn it first.
  6. You are forgetting... For the Sioux: '08-'09 - 2 @ GLI '08-'09 - 2 @ Harvard '05-'06 - 1 @ Bemidji '01-02 - 2 @ GLI '00-'01 - 2 @ Icebreaker - UNH '00-'01 - 2 @ Maine '00-'01 - 2 @ Badger Showdown '99-'00 - 2 @ Badger Showdown So instead of 3 road trips, it's actually 11, and instead of 4 games, it's actually 19. The Sioux have gone out "East" 13 times, while the Gophers have gone out 4 times.
  7. From what I've been able to piece together... October 4th - vs Manitoba (Exhibition) October 9th and 10th - vs Merrimack (Raise WCHA Title Banner) October 16th and 17th - vs Minnesota October 23rd and 24th - vs Wisconsin (unconfirmed) October 30th and 31st - November 6th and 7th - November 13th and 14th - vs St. Cloud November 20th and 21st - November 27th and 28th - Thanksgiving showcase (UND, Miami, OSU and Bemidji) December 4th and 5th - @Minnesota-Duluth December 11th and 12th - December 19th - vs U.S. World Junior Team (Exhibition) January 1st and 2nd - Notre Dame Tournament (not sure on exact dates) January 8th and 9th - January 15th and 16th - @ Minnesota January 22nd and 23rd - @ Cornell January 29th and 30th - February 5th and 6th - February 12th and 13th - @ St. Cloud February 19th and 20th - vs Minnesota-Duluth February 26th and 27th - March 5th and 6th - March 12th-14th - WCHA First Round (Best of 3 at Higher seed site) March 18th-20th - WCHA Final Five (@ XCEL Energy Center in St. Paul) March 26th-28th - NCAA Regionals April 8th - NCAA Frozen Four Semifinal (@Ford Field in Detroit) April 10th - NCAA Frozen Four Championship (@Ford Field in Detroit) We still have the following games... Home Series: DU, Mankato, Tech Away Series: DU, CC, UAA, Tech That means that of the 9 open weekends, two will be truly open. Also, it seems virtually certain we'll be ending the regular season against Michigan Tech, unless the WCHA decides against having DU and CC play the final weekend (it has only happened once in the last half dozen season that those teams didn't play the final weekend against each other).
  8. adidas does not make hockey Jerseys. adidas is the parent company of Reebok as well as CCM, who makes their hockey jerseys. They are all part of "adidas-group". adidas also is the parent company for TaylorMade and Rockport. In fact, anything "adidas golf" is made by TaylorMade. If North Dakota switched over to adidas, they would be wearing Reebok Jerseys made by CCM, and then there would be the adidas logo on it. Since I work for the company, I would be all for the switch. Especially if they made some sort of retro adidas original jersey. They could come up with some pretty sweet styles.
  9. Since I'm living in Colorado, i'll be going to the Denver series. Also, if UND gets sent out to the Springs, i'll be there for the Regionals, and then in Denver for the Frozen Four. Should be some good times. Last year I made it to Madison, Mankato, Minneapolis and St. Paul, all of which were fun.
  10. I already got my tickets It's nice knowing a DU Season Ticket member who can purchase extra tickets for individual games But yes, the series is November 30-December 1, which is a week after DU lets out for winter break, so there should be plenty of tickets available. I'm hoping to see lots of green down there!
  11. Munski is fantastic. I had him for a couple of classes. Cookies were great, and he made the classes fun. We also created a rap song in honor of the man "Doug Munski" to the tune of "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys. I can't quite remember the lyrics, but the main line was "Doug Munski, that funky Munski". We weren't that original
  12. that sounds fantastic. Excuse me for my ignorance on this, but is it easy/quick to change channels back and forth? Also, is it fairly easy to move/set up somewhere else. I tend to move every two or three years, so if I bought the motorized version, would I be able to bring it with me to new houses and such?
  13. Question: What other college hockey do you get to watch with the motorized version?
  14. Here is the schedule as of now...subject to change. The only date I'm not 100% sure on is the series at Denver. It will be either the 16/17 or the 30/1 in November. Anyway... October ? - Exhibition versus Manitoba October 13 - Hall of Fame Game versus Michigan State October 19 - @Boston College October 20 - @Northeastern October 26/27 - @Michigan Tech November 2/3 - Colorado College November 9/10 - @Wisconsin November 16/17 - Bye Week November 23/24 - Minnesota-Duluth November 30 - ? @Denver December 1 - @Denver December 7/8 - Minnesota December 14 or 15 - US Under-18s December 21/22 - Bye Week December 28/29 - New Hampshire January 4/5 - @SCSU January 11/12 - Michigan Tech January 18/19 - @Mankato January 25/26 - Alaska-Anchorage February 1/2 - @Minnesota February 8/9 - Bye Week February 15/16 - Denver February 22/23 - Bemidji State February 29 - @Minnesota-Duluth March 1 - @Minnesota-Duluth March 7/8 - SCSU March 14/15/16 - 1st Round WCHA Playoffs March 20/21/22 - WCHA Final Five March 28/29/30 - NCAA Regionals April 10/12 - NCAA Frozen Four @ Denver
  15. Vancouver wins 5-4 with less than 2 minutes in the 4th Overtime. I believe it was the 6th longest NHL game in history.
  16. Heading to Triple Overtime! Is there anything better than playoff hockey?
  17. Grand Forks is a lot closer to Winnipeg than Chicago.
  18. Easy math for FOUR credits at UND At least, it was four when I took it a few years ago.
  19. It's looking like we'll have a home series on November 2/3. I don't see us getting scheduled for 4 (possibly 5) road series in a row. EDIT: It looks like We'll be hosting Colorado College that date.
  20. Alaska games fall under the exemption. EDIT: HOF game is on the 13th, which is the same weekend as the Nye Frontier Classic, so doesn't look like we'll be playing in that.
