  1. It would take a miracle (or disaster depending on your POV): Minnesota would need to get swept by Bemidji Denver would have to sweep UAA UNO takes 4 points from Duluth Wisconsin takes 3 points (4 works too) from SCSU Mankato takes 3 points from UND That gives us: 1. SCSU - 36 points (35 if Wisco takes 4) 2. Minnesota State - 34 Points 2. North Dakota - 34 Points 2. Wisconsin - 34 Points 2. UNO - 34 Points 6. Denver - 33 Points 6. Minnesota - 33 Points The tiebreaker between Denver and Minnesota goes like this: 1) Conference Points - Tie 2) Head to Head - Tie (1-1-0) 3) Conference Wins - They would both have 14 (and identical 14-9-5 records) 4) They didn't play a four game series, so we skip goals allowed in series 5) Winning Margin in WCHA Play. Denver is currently at 0 (79 gf, 79 ga), while Minnesota is at +24 (85 gf, 61 ga). Theoretically, Denver could beat UAA say 8-0 and 10-0, while Minnesota gets beat say 5-1, 4-1. that would result in Denver having a +18 winning margin, while Minnesota would be +17. Thus, Minnesota would lose the tiebreaker and be on the road for the first round. Chance of happening? Zero. But, the Gophers have yet to clinch. Sorry if this was already answered. I briefly skimmed and didn't see anything.
  2. I now have 3 tickets available for Friday. Again, just face value ($28/ticket) is all I'm looking to get.
  3. Friday tickets still available. I live in Colorado, and I will be attending the games, so I can easily meet before the game.
  4. Hey everyone, I have two tickets available for each night the Sioux play down in Denver next weekend. Friday Night (2/22/13): Section 6, Row 26 (Sioux shoot twice) Saturday Night (2/23/13): Section 7, Row 16 (Sioux shoot twice) Looking for face value ($28/ticket). If you are interested, please email me at: tayl27@hotmail.com or text (701) 340-1605. Thanks. EDIT: Saturday Sold.
  5. IIRC, it was the series against Colorado College in 1998. Of course, that was almost 15 years ago, so don't quote me on it
  6. The "Watch ESPN" app has the ESPN 3 games. It probably depends on who you have for your cell phone provider as to whether or not you'll get to watch the games.
  7. Correct. The news that Bochenski was going to bolt came out in middle to late July, and he finally signed with the Sens in late August.

  9. Chay Genoway's +/- numbers while at UND: 2010-2011: +12 (11th on team, 5th for Defense) 2009-2010: +2 (only played 9 games) 2008-2009: +5 (T-5th on team, 3rd for Defense) 2007-2008: +16 (3rd on team, 2nd for Defense) 2006-2007: +13 (4th on team, 2nd for Defense) He was never a minus, and was a collective +48 in his career at UND. Crow is on your left.
  10. Brian Rafalski: 1992 - Lost to former Soviet Union at the U-20s. Had the U.S. won that game, they win the Gold. They settle for the Bronze. 1992 - w/Wisconsin, Rafalski and the Badgers play for the NCAA Title, only to fall to LSSU. 2001 - w/New Jersey, Rafalski and the Devils drop Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals to Ray Bourque and the Avs. 2002 - Rafalski leads USA to the Gold Medal Game, only to fall to the Canadians. 2009 - w/Detroit, Rafalski and the Red Wings blow a 2-0 series lead before losing in Game 7 to Pittsburgh. 2010 - Rafalski again helps USA to the Gold Medal Game, and once again USA loses to Canada, this time in OT. Rafalski did manage to win Stanley Cups with New Jersey (2000) and Detroit (2008), but both of those series were won in 6 games.
  11. Agreed. Dell is 14-1-0 in March. He is clutch. I don't really care too much about his save percentage when his winning percentage is that high.
  12. You mean the Goalie that was around 50th nationally in Save %? BTW, Dell was 1st in the WCHA in GAA in '10-'11 and 1st in Save % http://wcha.com/men/statistics/1011/oagoalies.php
  13. From the 2000-2001 season through 2005-2006. I believe he filled Sandelin's spot.
  14. Correct. I asked that question a week or two ago in the weekly chat, and Schlossman said that Forbort (and Simpson) will be back next season.
  15. They also made a trip to Michigan State this past season.
  16. Yeah, Blake turned 25 just prior to his senior season. Of course, he also had to sit out a year after he transferred from Ferris State. He was a 21 year old freshman.
  17. The Gophers played at Bemidji in October of 2000. They beat the Beavers 9-3.
  18. There is no reason why they couldn't put numbers on the jerseys. They just couldn't put a name. Think of replica college football jerseys...they nearly all have numbers.
  19. I believe Merrimack's contract was just for 2 games that season (i.e. no return trip). We made trips to Harvard (Dec. '08) and New Hampshire (Oct. '05) before they came out to play us (Harvard this year, and UNH in Dec. '07), thus fulfilling those 2 for 2 contracts.
  20. I'm not so sure it will be all that different. Last season, UAH played 13 games against tournament teams (11 of which were on the road, more than any other team in the country), including 5 series against WCHA squads. Here was UAH's schedule last season...(all 2 games series unless otherwise noted) vs. LSSU @ WMU vs. Bowling Green vs. Air Force vs. Ohio State @ Providence @ Merrimack @ UMASS Lowell (1 game) @ New Hampshire (1 game) vs. Nebraska Omaha @ Minnesota State @ Bemidji State vs. Mercyhurst @ Denver (featuring #4 scoring man Drew Shore, and #15 Jason Zucker) @ Duluth (featuring #2 scoring man Jack Connolly, #4 Oleksuk, and #12 J.T. Brown) @ Maine (featuring top point man Spencer Abbott, and two other guys who happen to be in the top 12 in the country in scoring) @ Miami (featuring 30 goal scorer, and #9 scoring man Reilly Smith) That last 8 game stretch was brutal...Facing 9 players in the top 15 in the country in scoring...talk about getting ready for the WCHA...I think Saunders should be just fine.
  21. Correct. So long as they are in school, the team that drafted the player retains their rights. The player has the option, 4 years after they were drafted, to leave school, wait the time period (I believe 30 days), become a free agent, and sign with whoever. I don't believe that they can leave school, wait the time period, become a free agent, then go back to school to play college hockey.
  22. Denver has only 34 combined titles (15 Tourney, 12 Regular Season, 7 National), but it is important to note that of Denver's 15 WCHA Tourney titles, 8 were as co-champions (7 as sole champion). Minnesota also has 8 co-championships for the WCHA Tourney (6 as sole champion). Meanwhile, North Dakota has only 4 co-champions (7 as sole champion). If you count co-championships as 1/2 a title, then it comes out UND - 31, DU - 30, Minnesota - 28. Whatever way you look at it, UND/DU/Minnesota are the top three programs in the WCHA.
  23. http://www.thehockey...take-title.html That should be proof enough. Basically they had it start with all the jerseys from all the professional, major junior, and college ranks. North Dakota dominated the entire way.
  24. I completely agree. Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin (I'd throw Michigan State in as well) all have the resources to compete at the highest level. That is not to say that they won't have down years, but they will compete for national titles more often than not. In fact, of the 64 national championship games played, only 6 featured two teams not out of the 8 mentioned here (Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, UND, BC, BU, and Denver) with the last occuring in 1999 (Maine - New Hampshire). Further, the 8 schools have combined for 46 of the 64 titles, and 79 of the 128 spots in the title game. It is highly likely that trend will continue.
