  1. I believe http://msbnsports.net/ has pretty much all the state tourney games online.
  2. Hermantown advances to the Class A Championship with the 4-2 win over New Prague.
  3. Hermantown a period away from another Class A Title game appearance up 2-0 headed to the 3rd.
  4. I thought I saw that he went undrafted so I'm not sure how that all works. I believe he did skate in a camp this summer with Sioux Falls and I know Eades has seen him play at least a few times.
  5. Roseau gets a consolation win 5-3 over Centennial despite being outshot 48-31. Hermantown leads New Prague 1-0 after 1 in the first Class A Semi.
  6. Zach Yon with a goal and 2 assists in Roseau's 5-3 consolation win over Centennial. Also was stopped on a penalty shot and hit a couple posts. His teammate Strand was impressive again and had 2 goals and 2 assists in the win.
  7. Heard that when Duluth East was shut out last night 3-0 to Eagan it was the first time that they have been shutout since the 2012 season, that seems pretty impressive with the high quality schedule they play. Should be a pretty good day of hockey today. I think the AA games may be a little bit closer battles and we could see some overtimes in either or both of those semifinals. A 11am Hermantown vs. New Prague 1pm EGF vs. St.Cloud Cathedral AA 6pm Lakeville North vs. Eden Prairie 8pm Edina vs. Eagan
  8. I mentioned him in the prospective recruits thread and I really like him too. He plays a lot of minutes for Eagan too and has good size and plays a smooth game. I'm not sure if we would really have room for him just looking at our future commitments but I do think he will end up being a good college player and am a little surprised he is still uncommitted.
  9. That kid definitely wants that one back, he easily could have just pinned the puck against the boards and let the clock run out. Probably the kind of goal that should be expected in this kind of game though.
  10. I'm interested to see how Edina will play against whoever wins this last game. I think East or Eagan may be able to cause Edina some problems with the physical play and maybe be able to slow them down a little bit but the key will be if they can do it without taking penalties because Edina's powerplay also looked very potent tonight.
  11. Eagan is almost the exact template and colors just different logo, East at least has some different coloring.
  12. I'll take the stronger goaltending and say Lakeville North will beat EP tomorrow night. Edina has certainly been the most impressive team to me so far and definitely should be the favorite right now. East and Eagan looks to be a battle between two great defensive teams. Very physical game through one scoreless and the few good chances that there have been have been handled well by the goaltenders.
  13. Doubt we have room for him with him already being a senior but Nick Wolff for Eagan looks pretty good tonight and has some good size but could probably add some more muscle. Eagan's goalie Andrew Lindgren has looked solid too and is the brother of current SCSU goalie Charlie Lindgren.
  14. Edina coasts to a 6-1 win. Duluth East and Eagan should be a pretty good finale to the quarterfinals, I would expect a pretty physical game coming up.
  15. Edina up 4-0 after 1. Stillwater already seems resigned to the if we can't beat you we will beat you up theory. Edina student section with one of the better chants so far this tournament with the "Where's your boys team?" chant to Stillwater.
  16. Edina looks very impressive so far against Stillwater, very smooth skating, great puck movement and a good transition game. Edina up 3-0 a little over halfway into the 1st.
  17. The young guys for Edina are looking pretty good against Stillwater tonight early on. Bellows definitely seems like the best of the bunch but the speculation is he will likely end up in the WHL. Wait, Zuhlsdorf, and Pugh all look like for smooth skaters and good potential too.
  18. Eden Prairie holds on for the 4-3 win over Centennial.
  19. Forgot about that but I do remember hearing about that during sections. Sounds like he is likely to go to UNO right away next year while Spinner is more likely headed to the USHL.
  20. Centennial has pressured and got a post but has yet to get one to tie it up late in the 3rd. Centennial is called for a tripping penalty that looked like a good clean hit to me with 2:16 left trailing 4-3.
  21. Roseau really did a good job of blocking shots and not giving Lakeville North a lot of time and space. Roseau really brought the physical game and I think it got to North a little bit at times. North was the favorite and should have been but I don't know if I've ever seen Roseau even when they have been the underdog go down to the X and really not play a good close game against whoever and that's why I was a little surprised to see and hear people thinking North would win by 3-5 goals. Roseau just doesn't really let that happen even when they may not have as much talent as their opponent.
  22. Eden Prairie controlled the 1st, Centennial woke up in the 2nd and we have a 4-3 Eden Prairie lead in the early 3rd. UNO recruits from EP haven't been very impressive today but maybe it is just a bad game for both of them.
  23. Alex Strand, very good player and right up there with Yon in terms of points, real good speed and can finish too. A little surprised he hasn't got more attention then he has, I know Bemidji is interested in him. Yon was really good again today and he had 14 of Roseau's 30 shots but he and the rest of his team just couldn't finish enough. Roseau's top line played a lot of minutes and I could kind of tell those guys kind of had to get rests on the ice at times and conserve their energy some just because they play so much. The Freshmen for Lakeville came up big with the game winner coming freshman Henry Enebank and the freshman goalie Jake Oettinger turning away a number of great chances from Roseau.
  24. Cathedral won 4-3 in OT with a powerplay goal after Totino-Grace was called for too many men on the ice.
  25. Zach Yon and his Roseau team play at 11am today for anyone in the Minnesota/North Dakota area that wants to get a look at him and gets the state hockey tournament on TV.
