If Knott gets the job I doubt it, he has been the guy landing and identifying all their players on this run
-
Would be pretty surprised if Mankato doesn't turn to Todd Knott.

Looks like I missed a lot during the day today. Don't mind losing Moore or Portz for a couple reasons. Moore was a liability in his own end and didn't bring consistent enough offense to see past that, however losing every defenseman on the roster is a little concerning. With Portz I liked him as a player but he is the style of player I feel we need maybe 1 or 2 of and we have had like 4-5 at least the past couple years. If Persson was on campus that is solid, I would much prefer Haider if I had a choice but Ludvig would be a solid 2nd choice.

I was one, loved his game at East. Thought he was gonna have a Vandevelde career.

Puts the 1 seed at a disadvantage having to play in what they will call a road atmosphere
-
If Penn State wins maybe we see a little more increase in the push to move regionals to campus

If we aren't winning the title I really don't feel too strongly about who does/doesn't. This year out of what is left I'd probably least like Quinnipiac(Pecknold is just such an asshole) or Michigan but other than them whatever. Minnesota winning would make my brother happy and maybe give our staff even a little more of a kick in the ass.

Definitely and everyone loves to talk about their talented forward group and rightfully so because there is so much skill and scoring depth but man their D group needs more credit. Faber, Johnson, LaCombe, Koster, Chesley, Thomas, and Mittlestadt is right up there with our loaded group of Stecher, LaDue, Ausmus, Thompson, Poolman, and Wolanin.

St. Cloud is lucky to still be in this one.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
SiouxScore replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey
Looking for a skilled top 9 who would you say fits in that group? Gaber, Blake, McLaughlin, James, and Perron for sure. I think Schmaltz is in their but you'd like to see his speed improve. Caulfield I think too. Strinden? Kunz? Emerson? Do we maybe look to the portal to add another skill type center? That 4th line with more a heavy focus I think is clear Jamernik, Portz, and Ness fit that. Not sure where Montgomery fits or if you can count on him at all. -
Package deal with his brother who I think was at Kirkwood JC this year?
-
Watched him in the section championship and quarters last night and he is an absolute steal for Duluth. Summit teams should've been all over him.
-
YES PLEASE! Immediately moves to the top of my list. I really wanted him back when he was in high school and couldn't understand how Clarkson ended up with him.

I'm a big Nike guy and they do a lot of really good NFL, NBA, MLB, and College unis but yes a couple of the city connects like the Padres and Rockies I hate and some of the NBA city ones are pretty bad as well, I can't stand the Timberwolves current sets they'd be so much better if they went back to their 90's style with a lighter blue and that green.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
SiouxScore replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey
A big part of it was also Motzko playing and trusting his young guys full of potential in big roles and allowing them to make mistakes then and learn/grow from it. We took advantage of some of those mistakes and converted on PPs. Also we basically stole that game as Minnesota seemed to be playing at a different speed and the shots finished like 40-20. -
I really wish they would go back to Nike but don't see that happening as I believe the school Adidas uniform deal goes through 24.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
SiouxScore replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey
Look at Minnesota this year they had some rough moments defensively with some of their young forwards but you have to accept it and let them grow through it.They might give up an opportunity but they are gonna generate a heck of a lot offensively too. -
Eisele is a big goalie I kinda remember him in high school at Stillwater

UND vs. Clown @ The X - Frozen Faceoff semis GAMEDAY
SiouxScore replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
Exactly usually when a season ends without a championship/frozen four usually I'm sad/mad and thinking about what could have been but this year the feeling is more like yep this was expected. There was never the feeling of hey get a bounce here or there and this team could be in the frozen four. You look at the speed/skill difference of our squad compared to teams like Minnesota and Denver and it looks like Varsity and JV in 2/3 of the roster and quite frankly that is unacceptable for a program like North Dakota. This years team never showed the ability to put consistent performances together 3-4 games in a row. The staff didn't trust guys enough and give them enough opportunity to get the most out of the talent on this roster. Lot of changes need to be made and it starts at the top we will see if the people in position making those decisions realize it. I'd be perfectly fine with letting Berry go and bringing in a new staff and that is actually the move I'd make but I see that as less than 5% to happen. So realistically Berry and the staff need to realize what they are doing isn't working, how they are playing isn't a recipe for success. You need to trust young players early in the season and give them opportunities to play into to bigger roles even if it seems they may not be ready for those roles let them grow into it. There is no reason James and McLaughlin weren't in the top 6 at the end of the season. There is no reason Constantini was yanked out for every mistake early in the season and James as well, while veteran guys could play awful and get PP time the next game out. There is no reason Strinden wasn't getting regular PT these last couple weeks. Need to implement more freedom offensively, preach playing with speed and creating off the rush instead of chip the puck in and play along the boards. -
Couple of Spuds up for Bantam player of the year in Minnesota Tyden Bergeson and Zac Zimmerman. Add those two to Laurila winning it last year and I think Lindberg being a finalist last year and UND should be hitting Moorhead hard for these guys. https://www.youthhockeyhub.com/news_article/show/1264801

Blake

It is Sweden I remember him as a Gopher commit before Pitino got fired, Pohto played high school at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas
-
Felt like an OT game but I'm glad it wasn't James has been one of our best players the last month or so and needs more time. Load up combo of Blake, James, McLaughlin, Schmaltz, Gaber, and ? as our top 6. Would love to see James get some PP time Wouldn't mind getting a different look on that first PP maybe add Kleven to it as another option opposite Gaber Job is only half done, still need 2 more wins just to salvage the season

Would like McLaughlin to play with more skill than Ness/Albrecht
