UND has to pay the Alerus Center for all tailgating, Champions Club and any other parking spots they control access to. No clue what that is, but I'm assuming it is defined through the usage agreement. They then work backwards from there to come up with a balance that encourages tailgating and rewards donors with not losing money. The Alerus Center chooses the rates and collects the parking fees for the rest of the lots and also control the Suite/VIP parking.

It was sent out to whoever has the spaces in their names. Multiple emails went out with the survey link and meeting info.

Big change now is the transfer portal. Build some of the relationships early and they could pay off down the road if a kid is in a situation where they are looking at a full depth chart in front of them.

They just finished a giant fundraising drive (which correlates with their spike) and UND Is in the middle of one. The drive has significant focus on endowments across campus.

You might be right. Didn't know the reservation land cut up into ND in the corner. How is it sovereign land? Did the chunk of land on the Vegas strip become sovereign land because the 3 Affiliated Tribes bought it? Not a land attorney, but I don't think a tribe can just buy land anywhere and it automatically becomes sovereign land, though maybe that's not what you're trying to say?

How does Dakota Magic down by the border work? Obviously not near a larger population base, but similar off-reservation casino scenario.

Most the teams have one. Volleyball has had one since Pryor was here. Handles day to day stuff, travel plans, etc. Takes things off the coach's plate. Usually an entry level position for someone looking to get into coaching.

At least a few of UND's rosters would require some trimming if they choose to opt-in.

Maybe, but are there things that is being done that is holding him back somehow? I guess I'm not following what decisions are being made at a President or AD level that's trickling down. The University is putting more money into things than before (FCOA/Alston/facilities/support). I don't know the answer though other than things ebb and flow and the spot some sports are in aren't very fun. No argument. I haven't looked back but I don't think we have ever been an excellent defensive team (could be wrong), but this years seems to be a whole different level of not good.

Pretty much what Sather said last week. He's the coach the ultimate responsibility of it falls on him to figure out how to get the team to play defense (and they have some brief flashes) but man....not sure how the defense can be that bad. You could maybe say the team has given up, but its been bad since the beginning of the year. Seems like the pieces should be there to be at least around average but it doesn't seem like anyone wants to put the effort in. I guess just bet the over for the rest of the season at this point.

Yes I'm aware. Point is, I'm not sure how the Dept of Ed can fairly determine that a women's cross country runner has the same value under profit sharing as a football player at a P2 university. Where's the profit coming from? Football and men's basketball. Maybe women's basketball at a few select schools. Possibly a few other select sports at certain universities but it is going to be minimal compared to FB and MBB.

Not sure how NIL money can be tied to Title IX given that male athetes (outside of some outliers) in CFB and MB generally would generate more of the revenue that is being shared. Also some amusing comments about how Title IX should be applied, but don't have to look far down the road to see that there are ways around it.

If they do that, they don't need a management company. And those things are nothing but a pain, constantly breaking or not working. Not sure how they'd retroactively fit into either of the City's ramps. Street parking downtown can be a problem, so if you're going to have rules, makes sense to enforce them. Interstate is also keeping the ramps a little bit cleaner, keeping the parking and stairwell picked up. Have to imagine they are still making a bit of money with the contract. Probably paying one or two people to work 30 hours a week.

It was what it was, but they played the games and if UND would have had a terrible spring season, it would have definitely be included in his results (see UND Hockey fans as it regards to Berry not getting a chance to be in the NCAA tournament with the #1 team in the nation as example #1).

He's in his 20th year of head coaching. If he was as bad as some insinuate, you'd hear a lot more about it. But what you stated is what you hear almost universally from co-workers, other coaches, former players and those that have interacted with him in multiple other facets. Doesn't change the results being below expectations but the continued questioning of his character seems to be a one-off, mostly from one person who it appears has their own baggage (with plenty of examples) and an axe to grind years later. I think we're all hoping they can figure out how to play team defense, run a more efficient offense and go on a second half run like they did last year.
