Damned straight. The Sioux do need to get by Michigan, which will no doubt be a war and a great college hockey game. This said, you are correct. Michigan ain't seen nothing all season like they are going to see on Thursday night. DHG had his fun popping his mouth over things that he, and most everyone of us, simply do not know. He is the one who looks foolish now. All I know is that Kristo is back, a wildly pleasant surprise for which many are grateful. The Sioux roll four lines. Top to bottom. The Sioux have veteran and smart defensemen. The Sioux have a solid backstop. The X will be packed with Sioux fans. There are three games left in the college hockey season. Here is saying, yet again, that the Sioux are going to win two of them. We ain't losing to any team sporting the brown and yeller, and sporting those dumb arsed permanents in their hairs. I have always respected and liked Duluth, all things considered. I do not like Duluth this weekend. Last week was their time. Next week is OUR TIME!! Book it. Skate to Eight.

These stars have been lining up for a long long time. I have been saying the same thing for a long long time. We corralled twenty tickets over a long long time.I really wish that I could help everyone get some seats. I done did my best to implore folks for a long long time to get their tickets early. "The Sioux are IN," I said. "Boys are on a mission. Done deal. Git 'em now." Many were called, only a few would listen. Hopefully, the market will settle down for those who wait. It will, if people just sit back and stay quiet for awhile. Good things happen to those who wait. We have been waiting ten years. Now is the time. So, to the great City of Saint Paul, and to The X, in addition to the legions of Sioux fans from all parts of the world, will come the following, the Good Lord willing: My eighty-four year old parents who still do not miss any games at The Ralph. My brothers from Wisconsin and Colorado. My hockey-crazed Nephews from Valley City. My Iraqi War vet nephew from Moorhead. My daughter who has weathered many a painful Frozen Four with me in the last decade, and who has been surprised with a Ride Ticket Money to come home from a college far away to see her beloved Fighting Sioux win The Crown. Pounding the ice cream. I have worked hard to upgrade us to some of the best seats in the house. Over the last six weeks, great hockey fans have sold us great hockey seats at a fair hockey price. This Frozen Four is gonna be special. As, of course, are all Fighting Sioux hockey games when enjoyed with the blessings of family, food, friends, and friendly foes. Win or lose. Home or away. Upper deck or lower bowl. Blacks or whites. Fratt Party or a Trupp Trip. It's all one song. Stand Up and Cheer, Stand Up and Cheer for North Dakota . . . . Here come your Fighting Sioux!!!! Travel safe. Pray for the flood waters to lie down and be tame. Don't be late. Skate To Eight.

The Gopher Bar. Not to be confused as a Gophers bar. Lowertown Saint Paul. I healthy, but doable walk, from the arena. Best Coney Islands, and coldest beer, around. Roughly 6th and Wacouta I believe. Also Kelley's Family Bar and Restaurant. Great hole in the wall. Straight down Kellogg to the east. Past the post office on the opposite side of the road. Another healthy walk, but doable. Also Station 4. 4th and Sibley. Great frozen pizzas and cheap beer. Also, a chance to see a national headbanging act doing their sound check. Ask for Steve. Or Dawn. Tell him DaCook sent you. All three places will be on the outer fringes of the rabid crowds. Finally, in Roseville, just north, The Ol' Mexico. O

Hi Folks. I have a list of folks who have expressed interest and I am trying to reach the suite folks on any more availability. I'll let folks know if they are available. The suite had a few Sioux fans on early commits so they may well have dumped the balance over my Saint Clown fan buddy. As noted elsewhere by others, stay the course. Things will settle down and settle in. Still alot of time until the puck drops. Good luck to all still looking.

Things true all Oxbow6. However, a little bit of staying the course for those still looking will do wonders for the market to drop. If looking and buying folks stood down for a few days, easier said than done of course, some of these jokers looking for a 300-400% mark-up will start staring at the taste of their own cardboard and they will soon start getting more reasonable as a result.

USCHO.com is a good place to look. That market will likely soon be petering out, except for last minute changes of plan. Check back there early and often. Folks throw tickets up and most good selling fans will commit to the first committed buyer to respond. StubHub is always safe, albeit pricey at times. Do not be scared away from Craigslist. I have bought many game and concert tickets there over the years from good solid sellers. You must, however, be a bit careful as others have noticed on other threads. No Western Union. Be wary of e-tickets. If possible, get someone to make the cash for tickets exchange for you.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Last year's West Regional at The X was a joke, even with Wisconsin and Saint Clown in the mix. The West is at The X again next year. If the Sioux are in the tournament next year, the NCAA will not make that seeding mistake (sending North Dakota away from The X) again. The games should be returned to on campus sites. Of course, The Ralph will never see one again unless the NCAA puts dollars over principles.

DaveK is actually a fine fine man. He has made many valid points on this board over his years. I think that people react to Dave the way that they do purely out of envy over Dave's supreme confidence and courage in his unwavering decision to continue sporting his great mullet haircut, and his continued undying devotion to 80's hair bands, both in the hail of scathing derision. I have faced the same envy and prejudice over my Norwegian Mohawk hairstyle and my dedicated support of Mr. Kenny the G. The goal was a goal if and only because the officials said it was a goal. The Sioux will not, at least today, put themselves in a position to get beat by a video review or a buzzer beater. CC over BC was a no-brainer. UNO had its earlier chances and did not bury them. UMD will increase pressure on the Frozen Four ticket market today. I told folks here a long long time ago. Get your Frozen Four tickets now. If you are going to the Wilkins, and coming from Duluth, I would definitely go to the Roseville Senser's. If you go to Eagan, you will have to drive a good distance south to get to the bar, and then backtrack. Coming in from Duluth, Roseville Senser's will be on the north end of town. It will cut an easy half hour on your drive in. Take 35E to 36 West. Take that to I think Cleveland going North. Take County C exit and backtrack a shade. You will see the Senser's sign clearly not long after you pass Rosedale on Snelling. You could also take the Fairview exit and get on the Service Road. Maybe even a better way. Either way, no problem. Once you are ready to go to the Wilkins, get back on 36 going EAST, back to 35E going South, right into downtown Saint Paul. Who is at Roy Wilkins? I should know, but do not. Oops. Just checked. The Avalanche Tour!! Don't cut your fun short by leaving too much dough in booze at Senser's.

Mid-Ring. Right above the suites, which are right above the lower bowl. Club prevents the lower and upper bowl proletariat from poaching into Club. Better food. Cleaner rest rooms. Fewer folks. Still great views. Nicer wider seats too, at least so I think. Not a bad place to sit. Not a bad seat in the house.

It has likely already been noted elsewhere, probably here, before but I am too lazy to look. The Gopher faithful, absent as they are already from great WCHA rivalry games in their own rink, will certainly not get too excited about playing a full one-third of their season against Penn State, Ohio State, and even Michigan State. That's twelve games. NCAA rules allow thirty-four games total. Unless one travels to Alaska, and we all know that the Gophers are not going to do that. A twenty-game league schedule leaves fourteen non-conference games. The Gophers need twenty home games to meet their budget. Ten Big Ten games, ten non-conference games. That leaves room for four non-conference road games. Do the math. The Sioux, Denver, CC, UMD and Bemidji with their new arenas, and even Saint Clown and Mankato are not going to ingratiate themselves to playing the Gophers in The John unless there are some reciprocal arrangements. Their non-conference schedule will not improve much beyond what it already is. Maybe a holiday tournament with the Minnesota schools will work, but all will want to share in whatever gravy that would bring. Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered. Barry Alvarez just hosed the Gopher hockey program. Big Time. Big Ten Big Time. For a long long time. Players are not going to develop very well, at least until PSU, OSU, Illinois, and Iowa, all gel and solidify, or even form for that matter. The Gophers will not play many competitive games every year. Teams play up, or down, to their competition. Right now, I could not care less if we only meet them in the future only in the Regionals. Unless they commit to come to The Ralph first, where their psyches will be bruised forever. If they have not been already. I am over it. I, for one, think that the WCHA, even with its ten remaining teams, will do plenty plenty fine. Solid teams all, top to bottom.

The BTHC is a done deal. Look ahead is correct. On good authority, the Big 10 will be looking for a couple of schools, most likely Illinois and Indiana, to start D1 hockey programs. The Final Five, and the WCHA, will do just fine without Minnesota and Wisconsin. One likely change is that the Final Five may well start rotating between The Ralph, The Quest, and perhaps even The Pepsi. Goofy fans will start to spend their tournament cash on what will likely be a very boring, at least in the first few years, Big Ten Tournament. Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered. Someone should tell this to Barry Alvarez and The Big Ten before the big news conference tomorrow.
