  1. Yes they do. I've a shirt tail relative that skates for them. I haven't read the article, but she had told my momma that there was a conscious effort to get right solid skaters on the squad this year. They do a very nice job.
  2. The Big Chill is on right now at Michigan Stadium. 2-0 Red's boys after one. 100,000 folks watching a gimmick game.
  3. Well, so much for the drive and the game today. Postponed until tomorrow. New life in the ticket market. These seats are still for sale, at least for right now. Looks like a 4 pm SUNDAY puck drop.
  4. The so-called storm will likely be little more than dust in the wind, and will be no match for my trusty Ford Exploder that has been to every arena in the league, save Sullivan, or for my bag of substantial driving skills in snow and on ice. Still room for a few if anyone is interested. Will likely be hitting the road from Roseville, with stops as need be near 494/169, by around 3-4 pm, depending on weather. Back to Cities right after game. Call or PM if you wish to reserve a spot on the NDH Train. 612.201.3239
  5. Bumping for Biters. Any bites? How about anyone interested in a ride to and fro, and a chance to sit with NDH, for the price of a ticket? I've no friends.
  6. Looks like we may not be able to make it to Mankato on Saturday, December 11. We have four in Section 102, Row F, double Sioux attack zone looking across to benches. $110 for the four, which is what we paid the TicketBastard. Have receipt. Tickets are in the Twin Cities. I could meet somewhere on a drive through town on Saturday if need be, or earlier if a Twin Cities buyer.
  7. It perhaps may have been already reported here or elsewhere, or it perhaps may not yet be announced, but a little birdie told me last night that there is a big celebration and ceremony planned for Terry Casey Night on the Friday night of the Robert Morris series, January 7. Casey's widow, daughter, and roughly twenty of his classmates, including Gino and Hexy, will be here to hang the #12. Daughter was never held by daddy as she was in the womb when Terry was killed. The Casey family is reported to be thrilled. This is great news, and should be a grand recognition long overdue. Kudos to everyone at The Ralph who took this bull by its horns and put this night together!
  8. It looks like we have two extra for each night of the Saint Cloud series. Section 110, Row F or G roughly. $30 each. I am on the road, so call if interested. 612.201.3239
  9. Yes, that guy looked really foolish, and it did nothing to advance the long held position that we treat the name and the tradition with nothing short of dignified respect. I gave him a "Whatya thinking, buddy? Take it off." He ignored me. I had some good natured times with the Badger fans around me. Some were crying for penalties left and right. I told them that they were starting to sound like Gopher fans. I also yelled to Shep once or twice that he was doing a really nice job on the ice, and he was. The Kohl Center is always fun. Especially in March, 2008, when the boys came from a 3-1 deficit in the third to win the West Regional. In OT as I recall? In the Badger's house.
  10. This certainly promises to quickly grow into a very intense rivalry along I-29. Especially so long as Blais is in charge there. UNO may make their run this year. Sadly, The Dean may soon be off to drive the big corn picking machine over at The John. It has done broke down and gone John Hill with The Don at the helm.
  11. On a somewhat unrelated topic, how fast are the Wisconsin State Troopers allowing folks to travel these days on I-90/94? My experience has been no more than 3-4 miles over the speed limit, which is 65. A bit different from Minnesota and North Dakota, eh?
  12. Well, it is what it is. Tough deals all the way around. As Sklar once observed, life is not always fair. Hopefully, Jumping Joe Gleason will step up and step out in a big way.
  13. Looks like folks are concerned about a suspension?? Friday- MALONE Saturday - SIMPSON
  14. Such is the good fortune of looking for tickets when the students are away for Thanksgiving Break. One heck of a deal compared to WCHA game pricing.
  15. Wow. This is a really tough turn of events for everyone in college hockey. We were in 110 and the hit was right in front of us. Good clean hard hit, at least so I thought at the moment. The ref looked back a couple of times, but was going to let play go on until he saw that Martin was clearly down and the whistle blew. Haven't watched any replays. We were told, before the game ended and from what I thought were credible sources, that Jesse was going to be OK in all respects. A trip to Altru for precautionary reasons only. Now this news. Hockey is a fast fast hard physical game where things happen in split seconds. Sometimes bad things happen for no real good reasons. This is true in all walks of life. We will keep Jesse in our prayers as well.
  16. We have found our two for Saturday Denver series. Good for now. Thanks.
  17. Not to step on the toes of earlier lookers, who should be contacted first, we too are in need of two (2) for Saturday game. Anyone know any coaches or players who can get us in for free to this game, and would be willing to help a guy out? Did not think so. (Sorry, bad inside joke from another thread.) Anyway, if you have two, anywhere in the building, at a fair "your cost" price, please let me know. Not interested in paying a premium as we can always look through the knot holes. Reply to 612.201.3239 as I will be driving up to God's Country from The Hell Hole on Friday afternoon.
  18. Lomackman. You are obviously a Big Shot. I am a Big Shot. We are all Big Shots here, because we are all hockey fans. I just found it a bit odd that you would put the football down for Sioux17 to kick, and when he gave it a swipe, you pulled it away. What's with that? You could, and should, have easily kept your keyboard shut. I have no idea how many kids you have helped with their college class work in theories and concepts. That's great. Good for you. Good for them. Do them a favor and shy away from sharing your spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading largess with them.
  19. Congratulations. Personally, I could not be that big of a moocher. I have paid for countless tickets since 1989, and I have no problem admitting this. And I am still willing to help a guy get an autograph for his kid without knowing who they are or what they do. Some folks have what it takes. Others don't. I really don't care one way or the other. See you around the arenas. I'll be in the paying seats.
  20. Sioux17. Lomackman ain't know jack. He's just jacking you around. If you are in town, the best way for you to get an autograph of Kristo is to wait around after the game, and after the players come up from the locker room. He, like all Sioux, will be glad to sign your photo, especially after a win. My kids have done this many times after a game. If you are not in town, as others have said, send it to the Sioux. Or to me, I'll get it done for you. No hassle. No expense.
  21. Yes. Shootout goals do not count.
  22. Friday - BLOOD Saturday - LaPOINT
  23. I think that it is a great idea. Hopefully, the SBoHE didn't give that opportunity away in their settlement agreement well.
  24. Interesting. I knew that I had heard this idea some time back. As for the poster who is concerned about having to "explain" it to opposing fans, there is no need. Has anyone ever explained why the Gophers are the Gophers, or the Badgers are the Badgers? Let 'em figure it out. I suppose CP would want a small ransom for the use of the name. It will likely never happen. It would be a good poke at the so-called activists, who must now be packing their bags and following the free sandwich wagons off to their next so called "cause" in pursuit of social justice.
