Just curious. Why are there so many Bison fans on here assessing the relative strength or weakness of UND's football team. What do they know and why do they care?

Is UND going to have a media and fan night at the Alerus to pump everyone up even more for the upccoming season? They need to show off the new team and the turf to. We could use a good pep rally. Is anything planned?

What are the times for practices this week? What time is the scrimmage next Saturday?

What is their practice schedule? Do they have practice this Saturday?

I am not sure what Bradley would of been like when he would of played this FAll. He looked okay in the Spring Game. In the games that really mattered last Fall he was not very good at all. It definitely hurts our depth but if we were relying on Bradley we were probably in trouble anyway. I guess we will never know. Let's just hope everyone stays healthy.

It was said before that he had already been offered a preferred walkon at Wisconsin so I guess I assumed that there was money on the table from Wisconsin now. Whatever. We lost him to Big Ten power Wisconsin. Not entirely bad.

I like what is going on with our recruiting. When were losing our walkons to scholarships at Wisconsin it is hard to complain. The future is very bright.

There is no doubt Schobert is going to be a huge fan favorite at UND. Welcome Joe.

I can say it one more time. I guess any school can recruit a kid till he steps on the field at another school since he hasn't signed a letter of intent. I would venture to say that typically the recruiting practices NDSU is using might be frowned upon by other schools. The smell of it might hang around for a while. NDSU can recruit like that but it might catch up on them down the road. People talk.

I suppose you are right but none the less it is still late notice. There are a lot of people that wouldn't back out though. I am sure he will end up with money here before long if he stays.

Hopefully he will honor his committment to UND. A week or two before fall camp would be kind of late notice. If he does back out maybe we wouldn't have wanted hinm anyway.

I see Javen Butler's name on the roster. Was he one of the players we weren't sure on?

I have to admit it does seem a little odd for NDSU to have only 1 player on the team. I guess the preseason teams are a little bit of a joke.

Which conference has the most? How many does the Missouri Valley have?

Are there any FCS schools with the potenial top end that UND has? With the additional athletic program that UND has in Hockey , and the fact that it is such a gold mine does make UND very unique. Most FCS schools don't have any program that compares to our hockey program. We have a strong history of success in other programs as well. This really could be the start of the most exciting time in UND history. It is not going to happen over night but I can't wait.

It sure sounds good to say we have our first game next month. Can't wait.

NDSU has been great since moving up. They were even great a couple of years ago when they only won 3 games. They were definitely geat even if it wasn't showing up in the win column.

Granted things could change in the future with the contracts the 2 schools have. I would like to think the marketing appeal of UND is going to get a lot stronger in the future now that we are done with our transition. In the present though UND's television situation is way way way better than NDSU's. In fact NDSU's situation isn't even the same league with UND's. That is true in more than one way. Big Sky over the Summit. There is no comparison right now. I an frankly surprised NDSU has kind of missed the boat on that end of the marketing of their programs. NDSU has kind of had things their way during UND's transition but things are about to change. UND is back and is going to be stronger than ever. When the schools parted UND was better than NDSU and I think it is going to pick up where it left off. Oh wait. We already beat them in Basketball and Volleyball.

I also forgot to mention that HD is coming in the near future too.

I see where most Bison fans are down playing the Television contracts UND has. They are saying the deal they have with KVLY is better overall. Let's compare. UND is going to have 45 or so games on regional television. There will be 20 some men's hockey games, 4 women's hockey games, 5 football games, 3 volleyball games, 5 men's basketball games, and 5 women's basketball games. They are going to have 40 weekley shows. This year a lot of those games might be shown nationally on Fox sports. In future years we could still have a lot of the non-hockey games shown nationally too on Fox College Sports.. Of course we will have some hockey games shown nationally on CBS Sports. When we play the Gophers and Wisconsin and other Big Ten Schools in the future they could very well be on the Big Ten network. Then of course we will have certain games televised in connection with the Big Sky. I think all the football games will be able to be watched online as well as may other games in other sports. The Big Sky has the contract with Root Sports for nationally televised games . I forgot to mention UND will get a million dollars from Midco. In comparison KVLY will probably televise 4 or 5 football games for NDSU and maybe a basketball game or 2 on statewide signal with one of those games maybe UND. Let see if you were an unbiased consumer which television package wiould you consider better. Duh.

The day UND is ranked again it will bother Kolpack and if UND is ranked ahead of NDSU Kolpack will immediately have a heart attack. You are right about that. When that happens we will have to remind him.

The fact that this story came out is such a nonstory. If the story was reversed believe me it would of come out in Fargo too. They would of taken great delight in it in Fargo. The real story here is the NCAA and their incompetance.

How quickly that they forget about all the media baloney that went along that non-story. Do Bison fans really want to go there. There has been a lot of classless behavior associated with NDSU over the years. Where do we begin. How about Rocky.
