Well, I don't know who those powers would be, but I figure that some of them actually see this site. Let's make it a point to get the idea to the upper powers.

I would think it would be fun. How many games is the bean pot? Maybe fashion it after that tournament. I guarantee full arena for this.

The way I look at it, this is a way to keep a rivalry going with Minnesota and Wisconsin in one weekend. You keep games open and make bragging rights for the year possible

After last nights game with Minnesota, it has become apparent that UND and Minnesota need to make this a yearly happening. Minnesota has its yearly tourney with Duluth, SCSU, Mankato and Bemidji. We all saw what kind of a flop that it was as far as attendance in the non Minnesota games. I think I may have an idea and I believe it would be a success. Let's get a tournement with Minnesota, Wisconsin , UND and Denver. Call it the old boys tournement because it is getting together 4 of the powerhouse programs from the old wcha. Host it in Minneapolis and Denver rotating or just Minneapolis. This would accomplish a few things, getting the old rivalry back together every year and also establish strength of schedule . I know this is a N.D. Fan proposing a yearly, but wow, with the last weeks buildup, how could this not work. Now if the powers that be could just see it the same way. What are all your thoughts on this proposal?

my point exactly, philly isn't a college hockey hotbed. Until ncaa decides that it isn't going to have tourney in places like Tampa, Philly, D.C., there won't be full arenas. Face it, this is a niche event, have tourney in college hockey hotbeds and they will see larger crowds.

what school is hosting this tourney? I believe there isn't a college hockey team in Philly.

For anyone interested, midcosn is doing a pre game show at 7pm. I know I'll be watching.

My keys to the game are 3. 1, und has to come out and be physical with the Gophers. Not to many teams were and they get comfortable. Lay some LEGAL wood on them and let them know that it's going to be a long physical game. 2, stay out of the penalty box. We all know this is a rivalry game, but UND has to be smart with their emotions. 3, UND has to get Wilcox moving and try scoring the dirty greasy style. If UND does that, they will win. This is a good article that gets skin deep on the rivalry. It is really awesome that this rivalry gets national coverage. I don't know about you but I woke up this morning and felt that level of anticipation ratchet up a notch. one little blurb in there does bug me a little. Grant Potulny is NOT from Grand Forks but East Grand Forks and as a North Dakotan, I don't claim him.
