Attitudes like this are part of the problem. If you are a good officer of the law, it doesn't matter who they are. Why would we put hockey team members above any other student. If they are breaking the law, they are breaking the law.

It doesn't matter what they did. I don't think that some people get what is at stake here. When you sign the dotted line at UND for hockey or NDSU for Football, you are not signing at just any program. You are signing to play at programs that are held at the highest regard in the region. There are responsibilities that come with that and you give up some of your freedoms. But in giving up those freedoms there are many more rewards to come from it too. For the ones that got caught for a second time, this may be the end of lots of their freedoms they did have, IF THEY WANT TO BE AT UND. For the general, I think he has been demoted to private. There is no way he should be a captain or assistant this next year. We North Dakotans hold this program as a shining light of our state and expect that it be respected. I think that Dave is doing the right thing in being the lighthouse keeper.

Sorry, Zane doesn't count. Lots of Minnesotans are born in GF, they want to be North Dakotan, but not everyone can be. As far as Ausmus goes, I would like him on UND too, but thinking he wants to be away from GF. We can only hope I am wrong.

I posted this in the past, but every team that has won a national championship for UND has had a North Dakotan on it. I am excited to see Thompson on the team too. Go for #8

Mike Rousso of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports in this mornings paper that Haula is close to signing with the wild. That would be 4 the goofs will be losing.

I am also excited to have Thompson on the team, Every national championship that UND has won had a North Dakotan on the team. Will this be the year that we get #8.

I really like SImpson as captain. This kid is truly turning into a leader. 5 days after game in grand rapids, he eases our concerns by posting on twitter he is coming back. He is from good hockey blood and knows what he has at UND. He is a great choice for the C.

They are going to be missed, but I think that the incoming freshmen will be able to handle it. Its a sad day in siouxsports.com land

I get a feeling this team might have taken a step in the right direction yesterday. I, like many one here, hope OD does not see the bench. Simpson has to play within himself. I have a feeling the penalties he is having are because of forcing the play and not playing within himself. I was not disappointed in Gothbergs play, although I was always asking, when is the soft goal going to come. If he plays well again today and the team puts the puck on the net, they will win.
