This line of thinking supports my theory that Ladue has serious thoughts of staying and they want to put on the Power Play. It is pretty unusual to see this level of recruiting for a player to sign. Anyone know what the rules of engagement are for players and teams? They could possibly come because they heard that UND just upped its game within the player development portion of the building. Who knows, maybe they are looking at upgrading their own facility and they need ideas. It wouldn't be the first NHL team to visit another arena to get ideas. Back to this thread, are there any other Kings prospects on this team?

You totally mis read what I posted then, That was the side note. IMO Paul has told them that he is leaning toward returning. Them coming to GF means they are worried about their prospect not saying, wow I got a contract and am out of here. Look at what he would be getting as a signed prospect, an AHL contract. That is about 70k a year and bus trips from town to town. He is being promised AHL playing time, that is all. We all know the elephant in the room is the idea that if he waits until after his senior year, he can demand a one way contract. That is if he continues developing. On a different note to think that Gino's son would have any leaning towards UND is a long shot. Look at the way that UND ran his dad out of town.

From what I hear, the one was in charge of Ontario. Not to far from Ontario to GF or TRF. If Zane played in any traveling hockey teams pre USHL, he may have played at a tourney in Ont.?

Now 3 of the scouts for the Bruins have been let go. 2 of the scouts were amateur scouts, not sure if they had anything to do with the Zane draft. This could get real interesting.

Bruins GM was just relieved of his duties. This could play a huge role in Zane's decision. Let's hope in favor of UND.

I talked to the scouts from the Jets when they were at the regional. They said to a man that Caggs will get offers, that is just part of the game. Just because him and Stecher have offers doesn't mean they are offers that are big enough to leave. On a side note, I asked the Jets scouts to leave Caggs alone until after next year. (as if I have that kind of power)

No it wasn't his idea's that lead to these sayings, but it was said by multiple different sources that this team is business like. I heard it on ESPN and read it on USCHO and CHN. I have heard this about other teams too, like the year ff was in St Paul. So my problem isn't that they have curfews or they need optional practices, my problem is that they may be holding the sticks to tight in the big games because of the business like atmosphere.

I truly feel that part of the problem is the business like attitude that Hak institutes for theFF. I think that some of this may come from the fact that he has not won at either his college or pro playing career. He doesn't have that to show the guys, so he coaches like it was a business.

At a certain point does Hak not being able to win the FF become a deciding factor?

You know what I think is ridiculous. This comes from a broadcasting standpoint. Jayson Hadju is at the game, he is the UND Sid and he doesn't have a single UND former pro player, parent, anyone on ESPN. He is more interested in sitting in the press box shooting BS . I get it, this game is in Boston, but earn your money, get UND some crowd interview cred.

I guess not to play devils advocate but how many people are Frozen Four season ticket holders? If you are on this list, you go each and every year and you get the full session. NCAA sends a certain number of tickets to each and every school equally. I can see their thinking here. Everyone complains of empty arenas, this is a way to make sure that fans of the championship games that actually want to go to the games have a chance to get there. You are only being charged for one night and that is all that is guaranteed. There are plenty of tickets on secondary sources if you want to have access to both guaranteed. My wife and I had to pony up big bucks to go to last weekends games because lots of champions club members saw it as a way to make money. Now that the shoes on someone else foot and they want it, they complain. Can't have it both ways people. Not every hockey school has the following that UND has. We as fans have to find ways to deal with it.
