Could someone explain what hits on Friday “should have been majors” according to these whiners blaming the refs for losing last night?

I tried to tell everyone their power play was worse than ours and no one believed me, so you’re not alone in that thinking haha. The thing is that the Gophers, as long as I can remember, lived and died by the power play. I feel like they might be in a heap of trouble if they don’t figure it out. As for That checking from behind ... in real time I thought it was a 5, but on replay it didn’t look as bad as initially thought.

People only think Minneapolis is a major city if they’ve never been to any other big cities.

I pretty much agree on your sentiments on Gardner, though I’m curious who you’d put as top line center in his place?

Lindgren was the one with the 10 minute misconduct for getting into it with Ausmus last year, so I’m sure it’s him as their wannabe tough guy.

I can see both arguments. But to me, it’s pretty telling that Bast was supposed to come last year. If healthy, he’s probably ahead of the other 2 freshmen. (Who have been pretty good also) Plus, we probably could use him on the power play EDIT: Schlossman just tweeted that he’s available to play this weekend.

I’ve never paid to park at REA. I just went early enough to park on the streets. But I know that’s not for everyone...

Someone asked Schlossman about that last weekend and he seemed to think if he's healthy, Bast will be in the lineup.

He was also initially supposed to be here last season. Injuries kept him in juniors.

That’s correct. I think they’ve only won 3 Times at REA since 2009.

Over on USCHO they had a fan bragging about their 7-2-2 record against us in the last 11 games, so because of this "dominance" it's not much of a rivalry anymore. I'm not sure if they were joking. One of their other fans chimed in and said they hoped he was joking.

So I was just browsing some stats over on collegehockeynews, (because I'm a nerd) to prepare for this weekend's series and couple things jumped out that I thought I'd share. 1. UND's power play is clicking at a higher percent than Minnesota ( is the apocalypse coming?) 2. Minnesota is 4th in the country in penalty minutes and only kills 67% of their penalties. Granted we are only a couple weeks into the season and we could be looking at completely different numbers later in the year, but intrepreting that info makes me understand why Minnesota has a 2-2 record. Power play hasn't been clicking, taking too many penalties and can't kill those penalties off that well.

Not me. But only because Rieger is the only healthy player yet to play in a regular season game. I'm sure they want to get him in game action sooner than later. Im not convinced Kiersted should have been the one to come out though.
