They don’t all play on the same line though. That Lukosevicius or whatever his name is plays with two of them and the third is on another line. So we need our best effort defensively.

They had Bowen on that third line last weekend and it didn’t work from a defensive standpoint. I’m guessing that’s part of why they were flipped for tonight.

Cam said last night on the radio with Hennessy that his injury wasn’t as serious as they initially thought, same with Joel’s injury. It sounds like he’ll be back for Denver series.

If my memory recalls correctly, I feel St Cloud’s and maybe Miami? streams are pretty good. CC was terrible, and I feel like Western and Duluth aren’t great either.

I’m interested to see how the defense does in NCHC play. Minnesota and Wisconsin were good tests but league play can get a little crazy...

I actually thought our defense would be the strength of the team this year, they were shaky for a good portion of last season but I felt down the stretch and into the playoffs last season you could see the growth and potential of the group. Plus, that is where our experience is - defense and in net (prior to Cam's injury). I was thinking the defense and goaltending could hold down the fort while the offense with a bunch of new guys figures things out.

Funny you mention linesmen- one of them is the brother of a former coworker who left a “Gophers Rule” note on my desk upon my return from the Philly Frozen Four. Jones is definitely my favorite player this year.

Even Tim Hennessy was a little caught off guard. Said he stayed for their entire morning skate and Cam made it through the whole skate so.... it is pretty weird.

He tweaked something in practice. I got the vibe from Berry that it was more of a precautionary thing... could just be my intrepretation.
