I've heard Peterson is one to watch as well as far as prospects go. Not saying we are, but in general.

Well it's a terrible school... And I'm not talking about hockey. I went to SCSU for a year and a half. Just terrible. Maybe Mitch agrees.
-
To be fair, Haula wasn't underage.
-
I'm perfectly content that they are angry. There's a reason the majority of our players they rip on are from Minnesota.

THIS. Kind of going away from this topic though, I actually penciled Gersich in as a Gopher about a year ago, so I haven't been paying too much attention to him this year. But after his commitment, I understand his wanting to play for UND. The U of M doesn't appeal to everyone. He's from a smaller suburb (Chaska is about 20,000), and goes to a small private school practically out of the metro. Honestly, I think people from smaller communities often feel more comfortable at schools like UND. That's how I felt. The U was too overwhelming and huge for me. And look at some of the current players/recruits we have. A lot of them come from either smaller towns or smaller schools.

I saw this one on the high school board "I didn't realize he was such a fan of attacking people in handshake lines and underage drinking." Now that's classy. I realize it's hard to comprehend why someone would not want to attend the most amazing academic institution to ever be created, but really? Accept his decision and move on. Don't just trash a kid you probably have never met because you don't like his decision. The Gophers had won the last I don't know how many recruiting battles. It was at least 5 in a row. They need to get a grip.

Shane said they talked, but that it was not an all or nothing thing. It was in the article on the MN Hockey Hub site.

He is... until he de-commits to go to the Q. I had to... lol.

HIGH FIVE!

THIS. IS. AWESOME.
-
Consistency. That's all.

I had heard he wanted to go to a bigger name program, so I didn't think SCSU was the end game for him.
-
Everything I had seen seemed to point him to the Gophers, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see this. I'm thinking he'll come in 2014? I'm sure the Lemieux de-committ opened up a spot in that class.

Jason was the other one who came to my mind when the subject came up on the chat tonight.

Unprofessional is what he is.

Don't know how up to date it was, but in the recruit section of the hockey preview this fall in the Herald, he was listed as a '13 or '14 recruit. If I had to guess, I'd say he comes in 2014. I think there's a few guys ahead of him as far as coming in next fall.

More importantly, they cheated in the class equivalent to POLS 115 - American Government at UND. I took that class. If you paid attention at all anywhere between 5th grade up until college, you could pass that class without studying. I get that it's Harvard, but those kids are supposed to be academically gifted and should be able to handle a very basic government course. It's comical to me.

I personally shell out, what? 60 bucks a year on the UND Insider package. I'm not shelling out additional money on a webcast with annoying announcers and blurry pictures. I can barely afford the cost of living. Priorities.
-
I watched the webcast and they didn't even really get it on camera at all. I'd be shocked if anyone is able to get a decent video of it.
-
Just wanted to clarify my previous post... the webcast for the games in Tech have been free to those who already have UND Insider subscriptions. So it's technically not free, just not an extra charge.
-
In the past because Michigan Tech uses the same webcast company, we have gotten the webcasts of the games for free. I'm sure later in the week we'll find out if that is once again the case.

I thought it's been said it is a lower body injury?
-
Yes, it's very nice. Lots of TV's, place is huge. The Roseville location is also very nice and would also have the Sioux game on.

My first year at the Final Five (this year will be my 5th), I sat in Club, right in front of the SRO rail, where incredibly drunk and obnoxious UMD fans sat. So you can find those drunk and obnoxious fans in any fanbase. Needless to say, it's been lower level ever since. Haven't dealt too much with Gopher fans because they were only there 2 years I went and both times they lost their first game

For Patty's Day I wanted a Final Five Championship...
