  1. ---> And this guy sounds so sure even though there's no way to prove it at this point. I'll be over here, waiting for you to tell me what my future holds as well.
  2. I didn't make a donation, but I created an account on their website (thinking ahead for tomorrow's on-sale) and was able to purchase tickets today as well.
  3. Based on the info on the Miami site, this is correct. The "premium" games this year at Miami are Ohio State and Wisconsin. I believe they are 27.00 as opposed to 25.00. I did see some games have standing room only tickets at 18.00 per. Hoping to be able to score some tickets when they go on sale. If not, I guess I'll just cry I guess since I've been planning this trip since freaking March.
  4. I think the opposite will happen. I think it'll be Thompson rotating in. I know Thompson's the draft pick and all, but Stetcher was d-man of the year in the BCHL, so he's no slouch. I just think Stetcher is more experienced and older, and Thompson really struggled at the end of last season.
  5. Senkbeil wasn't a last minute replacement. That was Gaarder. Or perhaps you and I have different definitions of "last minute."
  6. Oh give me a freaking break. It's 25 minutes, I rounded down, whatever. Big woopie. I've driven from EP to the U a gazillion times. Do you want me to go time it? I'll get in my car and go right now.
  7. Someone is trying to rationalize the fact that Leddy brought the Cup to the 'U' as to why Toews should bring it to UND. But let's be real. That's a TERRIBLE rationalization. Nick lives 20 minutes from Mariucci. Of course he could bring it there. Winnipeg is 3 hours from UND. Not even comparable. Sometimes there's just not enough time in the 24 hours you get to have the Cup. Honestly, I live in Eden Prairie, and I thought Nick did a great job of trying to get it so as many people as possible got to see the Cup. That thing was all over the Twin Cities. Glad I got to see it up close this time. Last time I tried and failed.
  8. Yes, because we definitely want to become known as a school where 2 recruits decommit per year. NOT.
  9. Season tickets do, but not single games.
  10. Easy if you purchase in advance. I always got the student season ticket package though, but that was the impression I got. Don't wait until the day of.
  11. Full time status is at 12 credits. Not sure if it's less for summer school though. Most players that are a year or so out of high school end up taking 1-2 courses while in juniors too before their arrival at UND. But you do have to be careful. I remember the story of the kid at Air Force who lost eligiblity by taking too many credits before his arrival at Air Force.
  12. Exactly what I'm thinking.
  13. We'll see if he actually ends up there - 4 years is a bit far off. I'm just thinking about a couple kids who committed super early who currently play for UND that were committed to other schools at 14/15. He could very well end up at UMD, but he wouldn't be the first to change his mind. Commitments this early come with an automatic red flag for me. ... I don't even know why I was thinking about this earlier...
  14. Of incoming freshmen, 3 were previously committed to other schools. (Ausmus-DU, Stetcher-UNO, Murphy-Merrimack). Schmaltz was committed to UW at one point as you said. Colten St Clair at one point was committed to Colorado College.
  15. I'd rather they rotated the 6th D than play 7 every game. I remember when Marto/LaPoint were freshmen typically one played Friday and the other Saturday. I thought that worked all right, but maybe that was a unique circumstance. I also get the need for a consistent D core lineup also. This is why the coaches make the big bucks!
  16. If your parents work for the school, don't your kids get free tuition? Some schools have that, I haven't looked into if UND does.
  17. I've heard OSU doesn't want to release him for him to go to a Big 10 OR NCHC school.
  18. I think he knew.
  19. I've seen in some places that some think he may not be the only NTDP departure. But that's just twitter speculation. Still say there's something in the water in Ann Arbor.
  20. I thought he might decommit a couple months ago, but now I'm not as convinced. The USHL Entry draft is Tues for his birth year, and I'm inclined to believe if he's drafted he may end up there instead of the WHL.
  21. While its ideal to call up players when the Wild are in St Paul, it doesn't always work out that way.
  22. They probably will change draft stock, but I think when it gets close to draft, team scouts just go with internal lists anyways. So they'll take what they saw and move them up or down on their own lists.
  23. If I called the cops for minors in a bar in MPLs, the Gophs would have some problems. Like you said, it's easier to get away with these kind of things in places like Minneapolis, Denver, Boston, etc because cops aren't on mainly party patrol every weekend. It's easier to hide.
  24. That's not accurate. Shuffling players was a negative for the move. When you call players up, if the Wild are in, say Vancouver, it'll be difficult to get a player to Van on short notice due to Des Moines not being close to a large airport Hub like Houston.
  25. Just an FYI ... if anyone else is planning on making the trip out to Miami, keep in mind that this particular weekend is Miami's homecoming weekend, and Oxford, Ohio is not a huge metropolis - (pop. approx 25,000). So I'd think about booking hotels now if you're planning to go or you may have to drive in from a nearby town. I only found one hotel with rooms available that weekend. I'll be there. Looking forward to my first trip to Ohio. Maybe this belongs in a road trip thread... oh well.
