BC looks like a much better version of BU. More depth and better goaltending. They are going to be a real challenge for anyone to beat.

We got bit by incompetent linesman who somehow overruled an onside call by looking at a camera angle from the opposite end of the ice. There were other angles available but people were standing and blocking the view. Since there was no replay that could show a definitive view of offsides the refs decided to…change the call on the ice.

Hard for me to feel bad for them. You can’t make those defensive zone turnovers and expect to win. Since CC missed the tourney and Omaha is out we should have a cakewalk to the NC$$ title. I would assume the betting line is around -200 to win it all.

Omaha is their own worst enemy.

Not sure I understand the logic here. Attendance of 5024 is bad but 2500 is good? I get wanting to have a full arena but 2500 is a joke. If the NC$$ is going to give a regional to a site that small then the system is broke. What’s next, a regional in Arizona State’s old rink with capacity around 1000? Maybe REA should redesign the Olympic rink and make in NHL ice and then put in a bid for a regional since it’s not home ice. Or how about Purpur arena, it looks like that seats 2500.

Probably. Sometimes there’s no other choice. Support mediocrity and that’s what you’ll continue to see. Stop the support and hopefully it will result in change.

I would like to see Omot return but he’s not worth $100k or more. Not sure why any school would offer that. I’m hoping he stays and gets stronger, improves his shooting and show more discipline. He takes too many ill advised 3 point attempts, especially when he is a poor shooter to begin with. Can’t imagine he would get a lot of playing time at a power 5 school unless he improves quite a bit in those areas.

That is certainly possible, it all depends on which QB they want. Pretty likely Williams, Daniels and Maye all go in the top 3. After that the Giants pick 6th, Atlanta is 8th and the Jets 10. The Giants are the most likely of them to go QB now that Atlanta has Cousins. Rodger’s would probably go ballistic if the Jets drafted a QB. Denver and Vegas draft 12 and 13 and I would be surprised if at least one of them doesn’t try to move up for a QB. If the Vikings are convinced that a long term answer would be available at the five spot then you pull the trigger and make a trade to move up. If they think the value is similar between QBs 4, 5 and 6 then you wait till you draft at #11. Drafting a QB is a crapshoot but that’s what they get paid to do. If you fail at this the Vikings will be looking for a new GM in a few years.

Next season is probably a lost cause. The coaches and GM know it but would never say. This offseason is very important for their longer term future. They need to get the QB situation figured out for the long term, which pretty much requires them to draft a QB in the first round, probably moving up by trading with San Diego. I would seriously look at trade offers for Jefferson. Really don’t want to lose him but I’m not sure it is worth paying any non QB 30+ million a year, especially if it’s guaranteed money. A top QB along with good offensive and defensive lines will give you a shot at a Super Bowl.

If that’s the case then I would allow just as many reserved seats at the Ralph for their players.

Whether they had any timeouts or not, the worst play you can make there with 3 seconds left is exactly what they did. Not prepared for game situations. That’s on the coaching staff. They had all season to prepare the team for various scenarios and in a playoff game with the season on the line you blew it.

Team was very poorly prepared for what to do if Omaha scored. There was still 3.2 seconds left, you should be able to quickly get it to half court and get a timeout and have enough time to get a realistic shot chance. Instead the only plan looks like they were hoping Omaha would miss. After the made shot the clock doesn’t start till the ball is touched. So we toss it in about three feet from the baseline and hope he can hit a running half court shot. Great strategy, great coaching.

WTF was Sather thinking, every time Omaha brought the ball up the court they were rolling it till the got to mid court. Saved a lot of time on the clock. Very poor coaching.
