Incompetent

The Vikings are 1-3 in their last 4 games. Losses to Denver, Chicago, and Cincinnati. Only win was the exciting 3-0 win over the Raiders. They also have losses to SF (6-7) and the Chargers (5-9). Certainly does not scream playoff team. I would play Hall and see how he does. Dobbs and Mullens are career backs for a reason and their judgment is terrible. The Vikings are going nowhere this season so let’s see what Hall can do. If they lose the next three they’ll get a better draft pick. Hall looked ok in his one brief start before the concussion. Don’t really see any realistic downside to playing him.

I much prefer Chandler to Mattison. Give Chandler enough playing time and maybe even O’Connell will be able to see it. Not really sure what Mattison brings to the table. I see him as an average runner at best with a propensity to fumble.

What?? You don’t think using Powell on the QB shove is brilliant? O’Connell continues to blow games. He should never be allowed to call plays or make game management decisions.

Blake has a lot to learn, he isn’t anywhere close to being ready to turn pro. That said, he wouldn’t be the first player to make a stupid decision.

Got absolutely destroyed 42-22 on face offs. That tells me they did not prepare well for this series. Hopefully they learned a big lesson.

How do you take a penalty there? There was 1 second left, face off in the offensive zone and we take a cross checking penalty? Just not acceptable.

There was a face off with 6:12 left in the period. The clock did not start until 25 seconds after the face off and UND scored before there was another stoppage in play. Hence the deduction of 25 seconds from the clock after the goal.

South Dakota wins 34-24. SDSU wins 41-0 MSU up 28-21 with one minute left in the 3rd.

My bad. I got that from a box score on this site that showed no goals scored in OT. What the box score didn’t show was the 3x3 OT. I forgot that In 2019 they were still playing a 5x5 OT first then 3x3 (I still prefer that format). Whether you count a 3x3 OT win as a win (2023) or tie (2019) in your W/L record, you still get the same number of conference points. When is the last time UND swept all the conference points in Denver?

UND did NOT win in the 3 on 3. It went to a shootout so the game is officially a tie whether it’s 2019 or 2023.

This loss and last weeks loss to Denver are all on O’Connell and his bizarre play calling.

You’re delaying the inevitable. If players want to transfer due to a coaching change I’m fine with that. Means they’re not interested in building a championship team or they’re getting by with stuff that a new staff won’t put up with.

Time for Bubba and all the coaches to move on. Also time to see what we have at QB other than Tommy. Unfortunately I’m afraid we may be in for another year of this mediocrity.
