Yeah ok. That’s like UND moving from Grand Forks to Reynolds. What a dumb reply
-
Are you sure? There may be some truth to that rumor. We only recently get players from the NTDP that committed before they went there or they’re from the area. The U17 head coach (former U18 assistant) is from Grand Forks and has been with the NTDP for awhile. His father worked for the WCHA/NCHC at both Ralph’s every home weekend for 30+ years. Does anyone know why there’s not a positive recruiting pipeline relationship there? I find it odd with that type of connection that we don’t have a single recruit from the NTDP right now, last year, or hardly at all recently. Clearly the NTDP has taken over (from Shattuck) as the “honey hole” for top US born college hockey prospects in the past ten years or so. Located in Ann Harbor, they are the best thing to happen to Michigan Hockey in the past 50 years as kids love it there and commit to stay there. But Minnesota, BU, BC , etc have gotten their fair share of high-Enders from the NTDP and we have gotten 0 lately. (Unless they are from the area or committed before they went there). Does anyone know why?

Wouldn’t an easy, legal and successful way to have big money into an NIL program be to run it through the Sioux Shop? I don’t know the details but I think Englestad Arena or the Englestad Foundation owns the Sioux Shop right? So they could offer a player $x to do appearances, commercials, social media marketing, etc to promote the Sioux Shop merchandise. They can get paid for this. The Sioux Shop could also pay players a % of the profits for all merchandise sold with their Name or Image on it. Jerseys, terseys, bobble heads, posters, etc. You buy a $150 Perron jersey / $50 goes to Perron. Am I out of line with this or missing something?

That’s dumb. After 4 it should be fourth line guys on the pp.

Did they forget to put the cap on again and dry out?

Net front on the pp screening the goalie so Gaber can snipe . -
Yeah I think Cooley is one and done for sure. It would’ve been nice to have him this season. I guess he made the right choice though.. yuk that’s gross to say.

So is the bulldog message board a dumpster fire? Fire Sandelin and burn amsoil down? Imagine this forum if und had a first round pick enter the portal after one season lol.

I wouldn’t worry about Trey too much based on this season. He had hip surgery and missed most of it. -
Anyone know why the mass exodus out of NE?

I completely agree with your take here. Can he further round out his game ? I think so. But I envision his best shot at being a future NHL mainstay is a 3rd pairing, hard hitting, shut down defenseman . And for that purpose I think he would be better off signing now, potentially making an nhl debut this season and developing in the AHL next year. But as a selfish Sioux fan I would be ecstatic if he returned. -

College hockey is the wrong league for Mr. Kleven right now. Coming back to und would actually be bad for his development . Time to go. -

First time I was in that hotel I was working there. I had to go to a few different floors and it was quite unique to get off the elevator at floor seven and unexpectedly find a hockey rink. The sabres were practicing when I was there. Definitely one of the more unique venues in hockey.

Hopefully 22 makes a similar fresh to soph jump as Scmaltz did defensively. -
I have no idea. I haven’t followed college bball in a loooong time. Tarheels aren’t in the show this year?

i just don’t think it’s fair to only list the negative part of someone’s record. Lots of positives there as well. I 100% believe Berry is the right man for the job and there’s more success to come very soon. I however wouldn’t be against making some changes to his staff but that’s up to him.

Yes that’s a terrible idea. Judd is very effective in front of the net. He screens well and he’s hard to move. His play doesn’t always show up on the scoresheet but he’s responsible for a lot more goals than most people on this board realize. Every once in a while he makes a high skill / highlight play as well. He’s a good power forward. -
Three straight NCHC conference Championships. * coached best team in the nation in 2020 to #1 overall seed only to have season abruptly cancelled.

Green on Friday. Black on Saturday. NUFD

I wouldn’t trade Brad Berry today for any current head coach coach in D1 college hockey. If you would, who would be your guy?

17 pro seasons and 375 games played in the NHL. Is hardly Not “doing much at the next level”… I’m assuming you mean for a first round pick? He definitely had a roll to play at the next level and he played it very well. Perhaps one of the toughest Sioux of all time. One of the best to watch for a couple years.

I was referring to Ottawa lol -
Canada is easy . Just start on the east coast and as you head west the leagues get better/deeper overall. Always a few outliers but generally speaking BC>AJ>SK>MJ etc…
