I completely agree with your take here. Can he further round out his game ? I think so. But I envision his best shot at being a future NHL mainstay is a 3rd pairing, hard hitting, shut down defenseman . And for that purpose I think he would be better off signing now, potentially making an nhl debut this season and developing in the AHL next year. But as a selfish Sioux fan I would be ecstatic if he returned.

College hockey is the wrong league for Mr. Kleven right now. Coming back to und would actually be bad for his development . Time to go.

First time I was in that hotel I was working there. I had to go to a few different floors and it was quite unique to get off the elevator at floor seven and unexpectedly find a hockey rink. The sabres were practicing when I was there. Definitely one of the more unique venues in hockey.

Hopefully 22 makes a similar fresh to soph jump as Scmaltz did defensively.

i just don’t think it’s fair to only list the negative part of someone’s record. Lots of positives there as well. I 100% believe Berry is the right man for the job and there’s more success to come very soon. I however wouldn’t be against making some changes to his staff but that’s up to him.

Yes that’s a terrible idea. Judd is very effective in front of the net. He screens well and he’s hard to move. His play doesn’t always show up on the scoresheet but he’s responsible for a lot more goals than most people on this board realize. Every once in a while he makes a high skill / highlight play as well. He’s a good power forward.

He definitely had a roll to play at the next level and he played it very well. Perhaps one of the toughest Sioux of all time. One of the best to watch for a couple years.

Canada is easy . Just start on the east coast and as you head west the leagues get better/deeper overall. Always a few outliers but generally speaking BC>AJ>SK>MJ etc…

I seem to be in the minority as most mention the need of a portal goalie next year and I don’t see why we can’t bring in a good freshman tendy. There are a lot of good junior goalies out there playing a position with the least amount of future job opportunities open. A lot of Good goalies won’t have a place to play after juniors. UND’s current goalie situation and pipeline is definitely a head scratcher. Top 5 blue blood hockey program and we don’t have the most important position on the ice taken care of. Imagine Alabama football not having a future 5 star QB recruit in the pipeline. Crazy.

I’ve seen it differently. To me, Coach has been more aggressive on the forecheck in order to keep possession in the O zone. Thus taking pressure off the D defending in the N and D zones.. A best Defense is more offense mentality. Both the Defenseman and goaltender have seemed a lot better recently due to this system. The success has come from dominating time of possession and taking pressure off the weak parts of the team. Give Berry some credit on making the adjustments to the strength of the team.

Heck yeah. Less advertising on the PA, scoreboard and logos on the ice. Use those resources towards NIL instead. That would be two benefits. Recruiting and the atmosphere at the games would be better with less “commercials “.
