  1. Can anyone think of a player UND has taken directly from the NAHL? i cant think of any off the top of my head. A bunch have went NAHL to USHL to UND.
  2. Agreed. And in Luke’s mind, he expected more ice time but it was taken up by transfers.
  3. It’s now official. BCHL has gone independent from hockey Canada.
  4. Have you considered that the “failure” could also be the fault of the student athlete and not the head coach? Did the athlete do what he said he was willing to do? Did he show up for class? Get good grades? Take full advantage of his opportunities? Get along with his teammates? Not get homesick? Like GF?
  5. They announce them asap to put pressure on the other portal transfer/prospects they are recruiting to make a decision. “We only have so many spots available. We just filled one, etc.”
  6. More often than not, the team who unloads the most talent off the bus wins the game. Not this game. The rodents clearly had the most talent. But Motzco got out coached and his players got out worked. Man I love hockey. What a great game.
  7. Right. Or the first pp of the game they got for their guy getting checked in the arm lol.
  8. Typical rodent fans… complaining about a penalty even though the opponent didn’t score on that pp anyway. It was a penalty. I would rather it not be called at that moment in a game… glad it didn’t decide the game. They should be complaining about their coach going into a shell. Most powerful offense in the country. They should’ve kept pushing to score to win. Not D up to hang on by one. Credit to Q too. Those boys worked as hard as you could to win that game. Phenomenal coaching job by Rand as well. What a gutsy move . He coached with brains and balls. Motzco not so
  9. Easy to look fast when you only skate from the blue line to the hash marks as well.
  10. What a haul! Who the heck is Todd Alexander?
  11. Dane turned down an NHL assistant coaching job (Flyers via Hak) to stay at UND. I think this was more of a family/young kids decision at the time to stay in GF as well as job stability. Maybe things have changed now years later? Better timing? He’s definitely deserving of a HC opportunity and I think his names been in the hat quite a few times over the past several years. Honest question; would he be taking a pay cut to be HC at kato?
  12. At least we can watch the Senators and feel like the Sioux season isn’t over…
  13. How about some good news! Who else is exited to watch Tyler Kleven’s NHL debut tonight? I can’t wait to watch him put someone on their wallet without getting a penalty for it. K-Train is coming through. Get off the tracks! So happy for this young man.
  14. I was just “laying out” that it definitely does matter who stays and who goes. And that DU, Minny, and Mich are not top ten every year regardless. That’s all. And I =+*^%# hate the rodents so I took a little extra jab at them specifically. This is a Sioux forum
  15. What short memories people have. Just two years ago, Minnesota was the 5th best team in their State!
  16. Well that about settles it. Pull the trigger Bubs!
  17. Yeah ok. That’s like UND moving from Grand Forks to Reynolds. What a dumb reply
  18. Are you sure? There may be some truth to that rumor. We only recently get players from the NTDP that committed before they went there or they’re from the area. The U17 head coach (former U18 assistant) is from Grand Forks and has been with the NTDP for awhile. His father worked for the WCHA/NCHC at both Ralph’s every home weekend for 30+ years. Does anyone know why there’s not a positive recruiting pipeline relationship there? I find it odd with that type of connection that we don’t have a single recruit from the NTDP right now, last year, or hardly at all recently. Clearly the NTDP has taken over (from Shattuck) as the “honey hole” for top US born college hockey prospects in the past ten years or so. Located in Ann Harbor, they are the best thing to happen to Michigan Hockey in the past 50 years as kids love it there and commit to stay there. But Minnesota, BU, BC , etc have gotten their fair share of high-Enders from the NTDP and we have gotten 0 lately. (Unless they are from the area or committed before they went there). Does anyone know why?
  19. Wouldn’t an easy, legal and successful way to have big money into an NIL program be to run it through the Sioux Shop? I don’t know the details but I think Englestad Arena or the Englestad Foundation owns the Sioux Shop right? So they could offer a player $x to do appearances, commercials, social media marketing, etc to promote the Sioux Shop merchandise. They can get paid for this. The Sioux Shop could also pay players a % of the profits for all merchandise sold with their Name or Image on it. Jerseys, terseys, bobble heads, posters, etc. You buy a $150 Perron jersey / $50 goes to Perron. Am I out of line with this or missing something?
  20. That’s dumb. After 4 it should be fourth line guys on the pp.
  21. Did they forget to put the cap on again and dry out?
  22. Net front on the pp screening the goalie so Gaber can snipe .
  23. Yeah I think Cooley is one and done for sure. It would’ve been nice to have him this season. I guess he made the right choice though.. yuk that’s gross to say.
  24. So is the bulldog message board a dumpster fire? Fire Sandelin and burn amsoil down? Imagine this forum if und had a first round pick enter the portal after one season lol.
