When my signs (meaning the ones I was displaying) were getting re-approved on Saturday, I was approached by an older gentlemen who told me that everyone he knew loved the signs and it was better than all the "f*ck you" stuff we have done in the past. We're trying to work with them...they do not seem to want to work with us.

Yeah, I've been "groped" a couple times too by the female cops...not that I'm complaining, it's the most action I've seen in a while The student entrance should be that...the student entrance. I get there about an hour before the game...which works good...only have to wait 5 people deep at the most.

I 100% completely agree. The blimps suck. Bring back the Fed Ex guy. Mite hockey rules!!! I never said to remove the band, I just think they need more discretion (sp) when they play.

I agree, I hate it when they can't hear me commenting on their sister's "performance" the night before . Also, they need to stop trying to be part of the sieve cheer, seriously...they're never in cync with the student section, and slow down on the beer song, they play it way too fast.

Flatspin's gf made the "puppy love" sign. She actually snuck it in by bring the pic in her pocket and taping it to the sign. I had it with the rest of the penalty box signs on Friday, but decided not to display it because I knew that it wouldn't be accepted to well by the REA staff. I don't think it made it through saturday night. BTW...it was pretty funny

yzerman19...careful about how you talk about Minnesota hockey in general. I am a Minnesota native and while a Sioux fan, I'm still all about Minnesota hockey (except the Gophers). It IS the Sate of Hockey, only Michigan can HOPE to dispute that. Compare how many Minnesotans play at the D1 level or the NHL with any other state. Granted there are some VERY ignorant fans in Minnesota, but that is true at all levels everywhere. WPoS, Greyeagle, sagard, and a few other Gopher posters actually do know the game and post with a point of view that is only a little through maroon and gold glasses. And the Gophers do have a winning record all time when it comes to the Sioux (as just about every other team in the NCAA). BTW...NOBODY in Minnesota actually considers Sid a credible source. Especially when it comes to hockey. I think he actually gets his info from Shooter, who throws darts a board to determine what is going on. All that said...Here's to pounding the puppies into submission this weekend.

YaneA...I gave the signs to forecheck after the game, so she should still have them. I like the Boys out of North Dakota one.

Briggs hasn't played that bad from what I have seen considering the defensive situation so far this year. I would still take Brandt over both of them. Yes, JJ won a Final Five, but that was with Paul Martin and MAtt DuhMarchi in front of him. If I remember correctly, when he started the Saturday game at The Ralph two years ago, we scored 4 goals or so on relatively few shots. Brandt has played extrememly well since the Denver playoff series. While a lot of people would love to think so, this situation isn't really that similar to our goalie situation last year. It's like ours was 2 years ago however. We had Kollar, Brandt, Sofie, and then brought Siembida in over Christmas. The Gophers have Briggs, Johnson, Smieja, and are looking to bring someone in over Christmas now as well.
