And Eastern Washington, that was brutal to try to watch.

When it comes to the media's view on coverage it's kind of like cooking...the ingredients are never as good as the result.

Maybe the NCHC schools need to get together and create a webcast package that allows you to access every webcast for one price. Within the last couple years there has been a webcast that I have gotten free because I had the UND package purchased and they used the same company but I can't remember which school it was. Maybe it's an improbable pipe dream, but I would be willing to pay $100. to have every UND conference and home game available if it wasn't on TV, and the way that UND fans are spread across the country I wouldn't be the only one.

Does it have a cape? It looks like a Superhero costume...Mediocre Man?

Speaking of that, check out 'Bisonville Jeopardy' if you happen to venture there, obviously quite a few stabs at UND but they hammer on GSU and each other quite a bit too...pretty funny actually. Lakes, star2city, and DaveK are referenced...really surprised darell wasn't included as popular as he is there.

As much as I'd like to see it, I can't see Minnesota going 4-4 the last 8 games, they are too good for that *gag*. SCSU has been known to tighten up in the clutch, if they come out of CC with less than 2 points the door could be open for UM or UND to make a move.

I don't know how many could really afford to move up...the extra 22 scholarships, much higher travel and recruiting costs, more and higher paid coaches, improved facilities, plus to move up to FBS football you have to have an average home attendance of 15,000/game for 2 or 3 years...that would be sticky for some, if they even have that many seats. When Montana was looking at the WAC a couple years ago they hired a firm to study the costs and it came back that they would have to increase their budget by $4.7 million to move, and make about $25. million in improvements to their facilities, and their facilities are pretty decent so most schools would be looking at a much higher number. For the schools who can afford to go that route...great! I just wonder how many really could.

I can see their point, between teams like Minnesota losing to FCS schools and having to pay FCS schools big money to even play them it doesn't really do much for the big schools. Downside is it hurts the FCS schools who want to play up for the financial gain.

Looks like you got one CMSioux.

Montana and Montana State coaches both have a base of around $155k.

"I got 99 problems but a conference ain't one" - Jay Z and UND

Nailed it, if you want to be D1 and play with the big boys, you have to pay the price to get quality coaching staffs to be competitive. And getting ahead of the "we can't afford it" excuse, winning generates revenue, another 1000 fans in the seats every night for the major sports will easily pay the difference not even counting merchandise, concessions, donations, etc...

Ironic that I will get more games in Montana (between CBS and the games UND is in Denver) than some people who live within spitting distance of GF...what's wrong with that picture?

Agreed, despite all the home games it won't be easy...Valpo, Idaho St, Sac, St., and UNC should be wins...Portland St., Northern Arizona, and UC Davis will be no bargains in their house, winning 2 of those games would be questionable...SDSU, Montana State, and EWU are going to be very tough even at home, realistically could go 1-2 or 0-3 against them...and that leaves Montana who nobody knows what they will look like but should be no worse than last year so a 50-50 chance there, add it all up and it looks like 6-5 or possibly 7-4 if the defense really improves. I expect the team to be a lot better, but the record to only be marginally better because of how the schedule falls, but would like to be proven wrong. Thu, Aug 29 Valparaiso Grand Forks, N.D. Apples to apples I think 2014 would be the first playoff year and 2015 & 2016 would be their title years, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

JJ Robertson Maybe...Edwards

Team is healthy, playing well, and in a good position in the conference and PWR, keep it rolling all the way to Pitt.

I haven't noticed where they have released anything as far as a timeline goes, has anybody else? You would think they will be appointing a committee of some kind this year at least?

One thing is there are a lot of "presales" that tours run, for example on the Taylor Swift Red tour which starts next month almost every venue had a presale (all TicketBastard) before the general tickets went on sale, if you were a member of her fan club or had a certain AMEX card you could get tickets before the general public with a code. And of course many of those tickets end up on StubHub or other sites before the general offering to the public which is usually weeks later. And when the regular sale does start, most of the good seats are gone to the presale crowd, although they do hold some back and release them over time as the event gets closer to look like they care. Just another good TicketBastard deal.

I would love to avoid that Thursday game but we'll need some help, it's all St. Cloud's and Minnesota's to lose right now, and looking at their schedule and ours one of them is going to have to tank a weekend for it to happen. We'll know a lot more after the weekend UND is @Denver and SCSU is @CC, if we get more points that weekend than SCSU we have a chance, if not it looks like a battle for 3rd.

With Mussman being more of an offensive-minded coach it's pretty important for this team to have an upper tier DC because he's going to carry almost the whole load defensively, I think they almost have to open it up nationally to see what's out there...if they can attract a name great, if not Kotelnicki would be a good fit too. One concern I would have is if UND would be willing to pay an upper tier DC, with them just hitting D1 I think the coaching money is still a little behind the curve.

It's not Hakstol, it's Berry's defense giving up 7 goals in 5 games, glad we didn't fire him when the headhunters were out earlier. Hak we can now fire.
-
I bet he saw the writing on the wall, he didn't get too many recruits as I'm f****** sure he knew they weren't coming and he gave away a lot of CB's. That's my guess.

There looks to be another heavier band of snow coming on a line from Sisseton to Detroit Lakes, it's only going to get worse after dark so anybody still on the road find a place to stay NOW for the sake of your family and friends. Trust me, work will be there Tuesday.
