First thing that always comes to mind about Hill is the interview he did after Tony Lucia cheapshotted a Sioux guy (Trupp I think) and then pussed out when Jones dropped the gloves, Hill gets on and starts babbling "Nice show by Jones, we know what they're about, blah, blah, blah". What a moron.

Let's hope they lose the last one they play, they have turned into a gigantic pain in the ass for us.

Robin Pflugrad, the new Montana coach, signed for 155k base salary, 40k media obligations, and also has performance incentives which would bump it up into the low-mid 200k's depending on if they win the Big Sky and how far they get in the playoffs.

Chicago is playing Colorado on Versus starting right now, I guess Chicago has some former Sioux guy named Taves or something like that.

Phillies are going to be hard to beat in the NL with the 3 stud pitchers (Halladay, Oswalt, Hamels) eating up the innings. AL is a crap-shoot, Yankees pitching is sketchy after Sabathia and TB's isn't much better, should give Texas and Minnesota a decent shot of advancing. Wow, 2 run homer for Cuddyer, nice start for the Twinks.

That's no joke, I watched most of the game on a big-screen at the Outback and afterwards my eyes felt like I had stared at the sun for an hour or so, that red 70's shag is brutal. Worst part is the EWU red jerseys blend in a little too well, makes it hard to pick their players up, you have to see it to get the full effect. Like the blue field in Boise...this one not at all. Grizzlies this year...great offense, no defense. Bet the over until further notice.

Second that.

It's being reported everywhere today that Ryan Grant is done for the year with significant ankle damage, they're saying torn ligaments and a possible fracture, so Brandon Jackson will step into the starting lineup and get his chance to be the #1 guy. I think Jackson should be able to produce enough as the starter, but they are a little thin on RB talent after that and will probably be bringing some guys in or possibly working a trade for some depth. I still think they're the team to beat in the NFC, but now they'll be leaning a little more heavily on the arm of Rodgers. As far as my Vikes go, they really didn't play that bad on Thursday, after NO drove the ball down their throat on the first drive they played pretty good defense the rest of the game. Offensively they looked rusty (maybe at 40 Favre really does need a little training camp after all), and obviously they missed Rice a lot. Hopefully they can find another decent receiver to go along with Harvin until Rice gets back, I think Camarillo might be OK as a #3 once he learns the playbook better, but I can't stand to watch Berrian anymore. He doesn't even try to get seperation from his defender...he lopes through his route and IF he happens to get open and IF the ball is exactly where his hands are and IF he doesn't hear footsteps from a defender....he will probably drop it anyway. 1 or 2 catches a game from someone of his caliber is not getting it done, even Betty White could do that. I see today they brought in 4 receivers for workouts, hopefully somebody stood out, having Shiancoe being your leading receiver is not something I would like to see on a weekly basis.

Score and time?

From the live chat coaches show tonight.... On UND's QB front, Mussman says should see lots of double QB use from UND. Goska planned to get action early. Says Landry's talent and arm gives UND best chance to win. But offensive options is key for Sioux. Let's hope Landry's arm can direct the ball closer to his targets, some of the throws against Idaho were brutal. Good to hear Goska will get some downs too, sounds like they might open it up a little more this week.

As far as I know he is still on the roster for EC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, he averaged a little better than a point per game last year.

I e-mailed the school and told them that calling the Sioux "North Dakota State" was comparable to calling the Griz "Montana State" (who they detest), I figured that would bring quick results and I see they changed it right away. They still haven't changed the different times, but I would be surprised if the start time isn't noon Mountain time.
-
Speaking of this, Montana announced earlier this week that they will open the 2011 football season at Tennessee, for which they will be paid $500,000 plus expenses. I don't think the Griz have played a FBS powerhouse since 2005 or 2006, but it just shows how even the healthier FCS teams have to bow down to an ass-kicking just to make the numbers work. Money is getting tighter everywhere it appears.

You know you've hit rock bottom when this shows up on your own fan site.

Oops, I missed that on the proofread, then again if they keep losing guys at the current rate a fictional Dman named Hess might have a shot.
-
Yeah, it's crazy on GPL right now...Leddy and Birkholz gone, now they're speculating a D-man (Hess seems to be the odds-on favorite) might bolt. Lot of high anxiety and Lucia/Hill bashing showing up this week.

But there are so many grey areas in this deal can they really ban them and make it stick? If UND changes their nickname and everything that goes with it and REA, who the school has no control over, drags their feet changing the logos do they ban UND from playing there even though they held up their part of the deal? And even if REA decides to start changing out the logos, who decides when items like seat cushions are worn out and need replacing? It won't be the NCAA because they won't be helping pay for it. Looking at this realistically, even under the best-case scenario for the NCAA, there are going to be many, many Sioux logos on the floors, furniture, and seat cushions for many years down the road. Plus the obvious Sioux logos that many people have overlooked, all the memorabilia from the Sioux teams over the last 60+ years... jerseys, team pictures, banners, etc...that stuff is going to say "Fighting Sioux" whether they play in the REA or move back into the old barn...history is history. My guess is as long as UND makes the nickname change and REA at least starts changing out the logos, regardless of how painstakingly slow they move, the NCAA is going to keep quiet and let it take its course, because the potential for lawsuits from both UND and REA is something they would really rather not get into again, and could drag this out another 10 years.

Can't hurt that Jonny gives a shout out to UND in quite a few of his interviews.

That's too bad, the Metra is the biggest event center in Montana and hosts the same kind of stuff the Fargodome does, and all the Montana Fair shows as well. Take a while to get that mess put back together.

Lady goes to the pet store to buy a talking parrot. Store owner tells her they only have one parrot left, but she might not want it because it used to live in a brothel and sometimes it uses offensive language. Lady thinks it over and decides to take it anyway, thinking it would forget its past over time. She takes it home and once in the house the parrot looks around and says, "Squack... new house, new Madam." Lady laughs to herself and thinks 'well, if that's the worst it gets it won't be too bad'. 2 hours later her two daughters come home from high school and the parrot looks them over and says, "Squack...new house, new working girls." Lady cringes then tells the girls the parrots story and they get a good laugh out of it. 2 hours later her husband Tim comes home, the parrot sees him walk in and says, "Squack...hi Tim."

You're telling me this is the best thing they've come up with in 2 years of planning? I'd hate to see the rejected ones.

That was my next question, Final 6? Thanks for the info both of you.
