Would it be fair to the other teams in the league to "not" call a penalty in that situation? I agree......to a certain extent, you have to use judgement on some calls, but it shouldn't matter if you're in a "race" or not! A penalty is a penalty, although making it 5-3 is pretty tough? oh well, I'm not complaining! It was sweet to watch the Sioux hoist that trophy Friday!

I agree, they did seem to "run the goalie" a few times........but how could you not call either a hook, or a slash on Hardwick?

It's been said before.......but I'll reply as well. This is the PLAYOFFS! Home ice advantage is just that.....an ADVANTAGE! Why would anybody give another team the option to use their own home ice to get a better feel? It would be different if there was NO ice available anywhere else. This is not a "classless act", rather it's not really an issue or act at all! Get over it..... GO SIOUX!

I couldn't stand that guy from when the Wild were playing them last year. What a GOON! There is NO room for any of that crap in the league, let alone the world! He can get away with it, cause he's big and tough......I think the league needs to send a BIG message....... They said all week they were going to get Moore, and they did.......what a Chicken S&%^

I thought the post was on the Player of the Week, not "almost player of the week". anyway.......I think both David and Chris are playing extremely well together! Not quite sure, but does anybody know how many goals the two of them have in the past month? Keep up the hard work boys! This duo will be crucial down the playoff drive, especially with teams focusing on the Parise line......

I agree......while it would be "nice" if some others got some ice time, it's not the time to be sitting players, especially when they are finally getting back on track as a team!

I don't have anything against Massen.....but I think he has been given numerous opportunities to produce. Let's face it, he's not here for a "defensive player" roll. His main reason is to score?? From what I've seen, he just hasn't had the hard work ethic as the other players. To me, that's the difference why some of the players have been seeing playing time (although not scoring) vs. him. 4th line wingers....defensive players......penalty kill, etc! I think he was hurt earlier in the year, that probably didn't help his chances! I don't see how Blais could really change the lineup much after the last 2 weekends? to me, the 4th line is playing better than any 4th line combination has this year? Who would you sit? That's a big question.....not who you can put "in" the lineup, but you do you take "out"?

Must have been related to the people I sat by.......I think Duluth had 3 or 4 pp's to UND's 1, and this guy kept saying "how cheap UND was".....and was so pissed that NO penalties were being called on UND......it's also when I was "reminded" that ALL of the UND players were from Canada! Sounded kinda jealous to me! Friday.....I sat by 4 awesome Duluth fans though! That was "FUN" talking hockey, and actually UNDERSTANDING the game how it was being played!

Jake played VERY well! He is like that, he loves to get psyched up for the "Big Games".........you can generally tell in warmups.......he is very aggressive, and sharp! Who all noticed when he would come out after each period, and skate to the middle of the UMD ice, and stamp his stick on the bulldog emblem?? The Mascot "Dog" and the LOONEY TOON (or whatever the heck it's called)......tried to stop him from doing it, yet he still found a way to get it done. Just a small mind game I'm sure, but probably something that pumped him up! It seemed to work! Keep up the great work Jake! Yes, the bear hug after the Saturday game was pretty neat from Blais! Jake was happy, Blais was happy....Lots of Happy Sioux fans in abundance!

I have to agree with Daggies...........I too was there for both games this weekend. What an Awesome display of excitement! I think Friday's game by the Sioux was one of the best games I have seen in a long time, if not ever! The excitement of up and down the ice play from both sides was great too! I tell you one thing, my adrenaline was to the boiling point, I can only imagine what the players were feeling! The UMD fans sitting next to me kept mentioning how we were moving the puck so well! Can't say much for the "over confident, UNDER educated" UMD fan to my side. All he could say was on Saturday "look how cheap all the UND players are"......"they are all from Canada"........other than that, it was very SWEET to go in and SWEEP two games, especially against fans like that! The fans the first night I sat by, were great........Saturdays....AWFUL! Overall, AWESOME series by the Sioux.....no wonder they were all gassed towards the end of Saturday's game.........."they left it all on the ice"! GO SIOUX!!

I wish I could say it would be a close game, we'll see! Roseau came from behind twice to beat Bemidji, but Moorhead is a really great team this year!

I think that would be devastating enough if I was playing football and got beat 27-0! That's still nuts to win by that score!?

I'm wondering if you'd turn down Big signing bonuses, to "stay in school"? not saying I like the idea either, but I'd be "lucky" to see $500,000 after several years of working!

Fabian has always been a "hard-worker".....I've seen him numerous times at the Saturday pre-game skate, not starting, but yet working on the little things....puck handling, skating drills, etc. He has a strong work ethic.....you're right, he needs some work on the "foot work". I agree, might as well play him this weekend.....the others don't seem to be working as hard, and take "Dumb" penalties! something we cannot have against UMD! (Prpich??....has to watch some of them!)

I think Fabian played well when he was in there......I like his work ethic. I guess Blais told the 4th line after they let a goal in on Saturday...."get out there and don't get scored on again"......"or you'll sit the rest of the year" I think they played with some intensity after that......we'll see how Stafford does at Center?

Smaby for sure has some things to learn, but you're right....he's still a freshman. I still love his size (physical presence alone is intimidating.)
