Less class? I forgot, stating facts is NEVER the right way to argue with someone who is trying to talk about how great an average team is. I'm not going to get into an argument about NDSU though, I respect their program just thought they were getting bragged up a little too much, that's all. They've had some good wins but just lack consistency at this point. You can't argue with many of my points in that post though, honestly...

Predictions for this year? Who is going to the season opener?!?

NDSU can't brag this year. Although I can say they are definitely my 2nd favorite team, watching everyone brag about how good they were and then seeing them get drilled by 30+ down here at the Barn was totally hilarious and showed how bad NDSU's depth is. Another reason NDSU can't compete with any big time D1 programs is their lack of any post play. Against Florida they didn't seem terrible in the post but when they came here it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen watching SPENCER FRICKIN TOLLACKSON of all people destory Moorman and Soosengooth (or however you spell it). I look for the Sioux to be just fine in their transition to division one, even though all the pieces haven't been there lately. Wouldn't surprise me if NDSU/UND were back on a level playing field here in a few years, especially since NDSU took a huge step back this past year losing Miles and making an average at best hire. Does anyone know about the UND recruits coming in any more solidly? I know NDSU has some big kid from Iowa coming who they are pretty pumped about but last I saw he was only something like 6'9. Gophers have a Top 15 class, finally going to have a 6'10 and 7' in the post.

Why can I just see Cableone somehow choking on this one like usual? They scare me every time a game I want to watch is on, I'm kind of happy I'm not home in Fargo right now just for that reason Or just forget all that if you have satellite

BWW all depends on the event. Like for UFC fights where that's what everyone is there for, they put it on all the TVs and always have the sound on. I'm sure if there are lots of Sioux fans there that they will have no problem putting it on the big screen and putting the sound on. Just my 1/50 of a dollar.

North or south Fargo? On the south side, I would say the Buffalo Wild Wings thats just off of 13th avenue a block west of the mall would be one of your best bet. Same with north Fargo, just north of the Fargodome on 19th ave the BWW there. Maybe I'm just biased to that place but I know they have dish and they've always cooperated in putting up Gopher games for me (they put one up during UFC on a corner TV for me, and the Sioux is a much bigger deal in Fargo so I'm sure they'd have it on a big TV, especially with no big events). There are some smaller places obviously that I can let you know about but I think those are your 2 best bets.

I don't think its going to happen, DU played great in the F5 and I expect that to continue. Beat a good Sioux team and a peaking Gopher team is no small task.

I agree with you about overlooking them, and I don't think any team will. Maybe I should restate my thoughts about Miami. I do not think we will overlook them but I do think they are the weakest of the number 1 seeds by a sizable margain. The +91 should be contributed a lot to the weak schedule. To their credit they definitely beat up on teams they should have and scored a good amount of goals in those games. One thing that makes me question them is their performance against the few better teams that they played, where they struggled. Obviously you have to respect their regular season record but their past failures in the NCAAs is also a factor. PS: I'm not an a-hole

That would be a sad moment, not talking about Bachman of course, I'd love to see him go too I guess its almost a good dilemma to be in, having someone that isn't as highly touted coming in to college but plays so well that they are able to leave early, not because of their draft position, but because of performance. Looking at where Kangas was drafted though, it would surprise me to see him go after his Sophomore season. With the way he has been playing lately though and with JPL finally moving out of the way, I think he has a chance to be the top goalie next year in the WCHA, especially if Bachman leaves. Remember, not a roll, the real Kangas Khan I'm just happy to think that we won't need to face JPL next year at the Ralph and for him to pull off that crap that he did on Friday in that series!
