he's not going anywhere, not after one possibly non playoff season. they also just gave him a nice extension last year I believe.

who recruited toews,oshie,finley,chorney and lee? I believe it was Hak, if not please correct me. that was perhaps the best recruited class this program has seen- they just underachieved. I also thought hak was in charge of recruiting under dean?

we're also only 6 points out of first with 2 in hand and a series at home agianst denver in jan. bottom line is we have to start winning and winning games in bunches if we are to turn this thing around. I still go back though that our OOC record could possibly kill us as Denver finished 2nd in the WCHA a couple years back and was left sitting at home because of a poor OOC record.

wow is the wcha sucking on nc. msum lost again last night to yale. they must have watched the und dvd "how to perform in holiday games" but on the bright side goon's favorite whipping boy this year, air force lost. last year it was miami and next year it might be sacred heart

I'd be willing to bet that hak has a betetr record at mariucci than at the ralph vs the gophs.

hey, I did the what if and if we alternate sweeps and splits starting with sweeping the gophers we'll have a shot at winning the wcha-there's some positivity.

he may have been there longer but hak has had more opportunities-like the last 4 years.

on a side note weren't they supposed to have the gophers and bulldogs play at metrodome one of these years?

but eaves does have something hak doesn't and that is a big old shiny championship ring.

he really is sieve averaging giving up only 1 goal per game the last month I wish we had a sieve like that. he also only gave up one goal to mich state unlike our two.

everybody keeps saying our problem is defense,defense,defense. our problems this weekend and over the last couple of years haven't been defense it's been our offense and our inability to consistantly score 4 goals, let alone 3. we give up 2 goals a game this weekend and don't win one game the majority of the blame goes to the offense.

whether they won or lost the shootout the game counts as a tie in the rpi and pwr.

being you're the rpi and pairwise guru(sp) I've been saying that a lengthy unbeaten streak will be needed to turn this ship around. in your runs did you put together a 10 or 12 game unbeaten streak during jan-feb and if so would it have made any difference?

this has not been a good weekend for the wcha as msum just lost to princeton 5-2. Add that to our failures, scsu in florida and wisconsin technically not getting 2 w's in their own tourney

than we should have been fine yesterday. as the games against usa and msu would have been those two games.

I have never once called out a certain player and ripped them saying it's their fault we lost like others on this board have done with finley,genoway,marto,lapoint etc. I have given praise when praise was do and criticized when it was due. I support this team, I have season tickets and have traveled all over the country to watch them play and cheer them on to victory, which has caused some disagreements with my wife. I don't look at everything through rose colored glasses. I know enough about the pairwsie to know we are screwed at this moment unless we go on some kind of prolonged unbeaten streak of at least 10 or 12 games and right now I don't know if this team has it in them to do that. not saying they can't. maybe I just take to losing to bad teams very well when I know this team is capable of much more than that.

excuse me for not jumping up and down and screaming for joy after we just lost to two of the worst teams in all of college hockey. did I miss something?

those aren't even banners it just is big board that says the years they've been acomplished. it looks more like something scsu or cc would do. maybe this was hak's way of saying "see I've hung something in the ralph" what a frickin joke. the only banners that should be hung are the green and white ones. none of which will happen this year. I think it says a lot about the state of the program when your goal is to just finish in the top 5 of the league instead of winning the damn thing.

I said it in an earlier thread we will not sweep the beavers this year. whether it be a tie and a win or a split we will not sweep them. sioux 3-2 fri and beavers 4-2 sat as we have a tendency under this coach to drop games we should win at home. with that any ncaa post season aspirations are gone, done, stick a fork in them as the only way this team makes it to the tourney is if they buy a ticket to watch it from the stands.

mark this post. we will not sweep bsu next weekend. they are a better team than us. they beat umass and swept mtech something we couldn't do. plus one of these years they will beat us. this seems as good as any. our pairwise is shot. I'm not even sure finishing second or third in the wcha would get us in. wasn't it a couple of years ago denver finished second and didn't get in because of a crappy nc record. it is starting to look like this team could be screwed.

the last three years we've hit rock bottom in december right before x-mas. maybe this year we hit it this weekend at the end of december. bottom line is we need to start winning games. only way we make the tourney is to go on some lengthy unbeaten streak like 10 or 12 games. I'm not sure this squad has it in them to do that especially with our schedule.
