a couple of years ago there was a thread as to what the Sunday morning headlines would be after a series. any thoughts? How about if the right Sioux team shows up; Gophers KO'D by Sioux as Sioux sweep.

I have afeeling that in atl east one of the games the gophs will get 3or 4. I see both games being of the 3-2,4-3 variety.

I completely agree, I think that even the the gophs record of late hasn't been that stellar I think they are putting forth a good effort every night(which can't always be said for our favorite team in the green and white). as I eluded to in a previous post I think that the gophers are a very dangerous team right now, wounded and desparate. I sure hope the boys don't go into this weekend overconfident because if so they will come home with 0 points. this week kind of reminds me of December of 2005 when they gophers were coming off being swept at home by the badgers and we were comign off a 5-1 road trip and heading into a weekend series at the ralph agianst the gophs. everybody was saying at that time that there was no chance the gophers would win and we would would steamroll them. what happened next? we got swept at home. Kind of the same scenario now in which we are heading into Mariucci on a 7 game winning streak and they come in limping and not a lot of people are giving the gophs a chance this weekend. I just hope we can come out of there with 2 points this weekend because I think we will get the gophers best effort of the entire season this weekend.

why not the ncaa would amost, and I say almost be guaranteed a colorado team in the frozen four then.

I bet you we would be out east in worchester in new hamspshire's bracket as a 2 seed playing either bc or providence and denver and cc would be paired in the same bracket out west.

I can't predict much more than a split for our boys. reason being I think in order to sweep the gophs in their rink you have to be playing at the top of your game and last night proved we're doing that yet despite winning seven in a row. we've had issues this season coming out ready for games and matching the other team's intensity level and you know the gophs are going to come out flying this weekend as they are a desperate team. I don't think getting dominated by the last place team in the league on your home ice puts you in great postition to go into your biggest rivals home rink and sweep them.

I could see a scenario if 2 or more wcha schools are 1 seeds, plus I don't put anything past the committe.

wouldn't that be something if Wisonsin made the tourney and either michigan or miami had to play them int he first round or I can see us being screwed and having to play them int he first round if we don't get sent to colorado springs.

I think almost none because i think I heard shortly after the 2006 regional here that the NCAA wants to try to go away from having on campus sites host regionals. I might be completely wrong but I think that's what I heard or read.

I have a feeling that unless we are a 1 seed we will be sent to colorado springs regardless of seed, the committee will probably make sure of that. I don't like the prospects of having to beat cc on their home ice to advance to the frozen 4 considering we don't have a lot of success out there. not saying it can't be done, but I wouldn't be looking forward to that challenge.

odds are miami will at the end of the year have enough games against tuc unless they happen to lay an egg inthe ccha tourney, they will have 9 games in a couple of weeks when they play michigan so tuc will proabably come into play.

have we ever swept the seawolves up here in the new ralph? I think our record their last six games up here is 3-1-2 which I don't belive is any sweeps at the new ralph. time to get one this weekend 4-1, 5-2.

sorry if this has been brought up elsewhere, but the WCHA has suspended Randy Schmidt for at least one week, it was reported on collegehockeynews.com. next step is to make that suspension perminant.

if msum drops out of the top 25 we lose the new hampshire pairing and drop to 6th in the pairwise. this is why it is going to be so frickin difficult to get a 1 seed.

in the last 4 games duncan and oshie have a combined 1 goal and we are 4-0. If we keep getting prodcution form the other three lines and duncan and oshie start scoring goals like we know they can this team will be SCARY to play against, which I think is only a matter of time.

I can see a bracket of und v bc in the first round and versus the winner of cc and bemidji state in the second round, obviously in colorado springs.

we'll play denver 3 times and beat cc in the final five title game.

all we have to do is keep winning and maybe we'll end up 1 or 2 in the pairwise and get to go through air force, notre dame or northeaster instead of michigan or minnesota.

and if we are right?
