  1. at this point I think you could flip flop und and denver, but denver could have a few less ?'s with scoring heading into the season. this conference is sick. the one thing I fear going into this conference is everyone will be beating up on each other which could end up lowering pwr rankings. seriously you could win the league and have a team like cc or duluth for your first round series.
  2. I saw somewhere that Blasi is a potential candidate to replace him. if you are Blasi do you leave Miami to goto Denver? I would say no. you have a good thing going there and a it would be a lateral move.
  3. just looking at the potential rosters of teams next year, miami and st. cloud look to be stacked going into next year. early nchc predicitons: scsu miami denver und uno wmu duluth cc
  4. well with losing that much firepower it is a good thing they will be playing in the Big 10 to make sure they finish above .500
  5. I often wonder why markmac or parks never got put back ont he top line. parks played with knight and kristo on the pp for most of the second half and markmac played with them during our best stretch of the first half.
  6. I have to correct you here, he won one and was given one(1993) as a career achievement award.
  7. say UND listened to you and fired hakstol tomorrow, who would they bring in that start winning national titles left and right, steve johnson?(mr. can't stay at a place longer than three years) carey eades?(not a chance in hell on that one for the reasons he wasn't renewed) sandelin(based off of one lucky year after years of being in the basement). blais(how many national titles did he win after they changed the format of the tournament). is haksto lthe greatest coach in the country, no. is he pretty damn good and puts us in position to where we can win every year, yes.
  8. I will make one argument here in the kentucky basketball one. they won the title last year, however their previous one was 14 years earlier in 1998. so even the best programs have their droughts. the wildcats have also had 18 and 20 title droughts as well.
  9. in my opinion the call should have stood as the evidence wasn't conclusive. now if the original would have been no goal then the correct call was made.
  10. it was 2005 in the mini beanpot we went through
  11. what difference would it make if he hung out with them alot in him signing? if anything they might tell him to stay, just as they did.
  12. however, bc recruits these types of players as well and somehow has transformed them into champions. thinking back on this season it just seemed like it was being forced upon the players to play a dump and chase when another style would have worked better. kind of a like atrying to fit a round peg into a square hole.
  13. we aren't the only premier college hockey program that is going to watching the frozen four from home-minnesota,bc,bu,denver,michigan,miami, wisconsin, cc, notre dame. just to name a few.
  14. all antics aside, he was a very good coach.
  15. I wouldn't trade them either, but one national title wouldn't have hurt either. I know I go off the deep end here sometimes but for for me the best part about going to games is taking my four year old son and watching him be focused on the process of the game that has nothing to do with UND winning or losing and just being at the ralph.
  16. I thought for the most part schmaltz played pretty well down the stretch.
  17. I think having berry there for the whole off season will be extremely beneficial to the guys. also with as many questions regarding scoring heading into next year there was no traditional second half surge this year, but I can see a slow start next year and a surge happening in the second half. the cupboard by no means will be bare.
  18. I have a pair of tickets section 214, $190 each or best offer.
  19. goaltending is not the reason we lost yesterday. we got outplayed by our own game. yale came at us like no one I have seen in a while and beat us at our own game. 2010 regional loss I'll attribute to tired legs and empty gas tanks, 2011 frozen four loss-hunwick stood on his head, 21012 regional final loss to minny-not enough horses in the stable, 2013 regional final loss to yale-flat performance. what bothers me is listening to hak all week was they had a tremendous week of practice since the loss to cc, and then two performances like this against niagara and yale. that is what is frustrating is we never got to see this team's best hockey. I'll say it right here, this team peaked if you can call it that at omaha in the outdoor game. for the fans to as it seemed there was no other weekend that had as much build up as that weekend. also can we stop having any more comparisons between hak, gino and blais. those were different times and the college hockey landscape compared to today was night and day. plus correct me if I am wrong in that during gino's tenure the first round wasn't one and done like today they had a total goal series or something like that.
  20. ex actly we could be headed for a yale-qu title game
  21. the lack of consistency or any consistency is what killed this team this year, too many all or nothing games. some of that was losing nelson early but that is what it is. it was a good season but not a great one. as goon said the great one will come.
  22. a win is a win
  23. don't forget denver alternated goalies all throughout the 2005 season and it worked out for them. I don't feel Saunders has to steal a game today but just be solid.
