I wouldn't trade them either, but one national title wouldn't have hurt either. I'll say it right here, this team peaked if you can call it that at omaha in the outdoor game. for the fans to as it seemed there was no other weekend that had as much build up as that weekend. also can we stop having any more comparisons between hak, gino and blais. those were different times and the college hockey landscape compared to today was night and day. plus correct me if I am wrong in that during gino's tenure the first round wasn't one and done like today they had a total goal series or something like that.

the lack of consistency or any consistency is what killed this team this year, too many all or nothing games. some of that was losing nelson early but that is what it is. it was a good season but not a great one. as goon said the great one will come.

yep and it was worth it losing my house for yale to beat minny, although the sucky part is my cardboard box doesn't have roof . it was all part of strategy. like last friday claim all day cc couldn't beat the gophers and poof. this last week claim all week yale couldn't beat minny and poof.

somebody mentioned it earlier how we looked fresh in the thrid period. I don't think that is the case if we play three games last weekend at the final five and I think wisconsin's performance today shouldn't have been that unexpected considering they went the three in three route last weekend. last time we played yale we had tired legs, not today boys, not today.

for all the bitching about brackets and placement in regions(mine included) I think we all can say we have a pretty decent draw. I'm not sure if we played anyone else today we would have gotten out of there with living to play another day. tomorrow is a very winable game, will be a tough game but I believe we can and should win this.

I told my wife after yale beat minny, if we don't make it to pittsburgh we have nobody to blame but ourselves and for 42 minutes it looked like that is exactly what we would be doing. a win is a win is a win this time of year. thankfully we have no more friday games this season only saturdays and a thursday as our friday efforts are something left to be desired. come out hard and strong and punch our ticket to pittsburgh.
