are you sure about that? hak tried what 20 different players on there including some nhl draft picks and never found one that worked. seems the only one that worked was playing in bridgeport this season.

if I'm not mistaken both of these schools went undefeated against the WCHA this season.

I never said I thought a player like him would be a fifth liner. I just look at it first line versus first line and etc. talent and skillwise I feel our first line overmached theirs. but in performace and playing as a team yale outclassed us. do teams like that not have some players that would fit in nicely here, absolutely they do.

the most impressive crowd I have ever been a part of was on a sunday afternoon in 1998 at the old ralph when UND came back from down 3-0 and beat the gophers. wasn't even sellout crowd, but was the loudest I have been a part of at any UND game.

Bingo. yeah when the kids get here they obviously want to win a NCAA Title, but that isn't the driving force for the majority of kids that come here. look at the two teams playing tomorrow. how many draft picks do they have combined? 7. UND has what 15. big difference in philosophies.

player for player I still think UND matches or over matches Yale in every position possible. but skill and talent don't always equate to the best team and that is where Yale overmatched UND.

let's remember this, there are 59 teams in college hockey and only 1 of them gets to end their season with a wn. that means 58 other teams seasons' end in disappointment. option B gives us the opportunity every year to be that one team that ends their season with a win, doesn't mean it is always going to happen or will happen. but we have the chance to do it.

as strange as it may seem, the two best teams in the tournamnet will be playing for the title tomorrow night. they both deserve to be there and I will be happy for either one. up until regional weekend I thought QU was a fraud as the number one overall seed, but they have impressed me big time. I think it will be a very entertaining game. if yale can get an early lead it may be their night. I hope the 2013-14 und men's hockey team will be watching this game tomrrow and realize what it takes to get there.

looks like the empty seat syndrom isn't just for regionals.

if there is any wonder as to why UND is sputtering, just look at the makeup of the coaching staff and how many former players are coaches. it seems like if someone leaves they look to a former player player to be a coach. how many of the top programs in the country at either the fbs or fcs level have staffs full of former players. this is truly the good 'ol boys network, they don't even bother to do a some searching.

you asked when does UND win the national championship when they do not have the best team. I simply answered 1997 as michigan was by far and away the best team in the land that season. UND had the best team on paper in 2004 and 2011 and came up short both of those years with different coaches.

I will give gwoz a pass on the 02 team as they got screwed in having to go to ann arbor and ended up playing michigan on their home ice, like we did in 98.

exactly, does having it mean losing to rit in 2010 or ferris state last year or even missing the tournament in 2006, 2007

however, good teams are supposed to overcome that. the 07-08 team lost toews and still ended up in the frozen four the year after. that team had oshie and duncan coming back and this years team had kristo and knight. both teams struggled with consistent scoring the whole season. and both seasons ended up with a debacle of a game. would it have been nice to have nelson back, absolutely. but, we also had rocco for the whole season this year as well. I think a bigger impact was missing parks for half the year and he never caught his stride.
