let's not forget the committee is in love with bc and has no love for und. therefore und gets stuck in the FU bracket in grand rapids. i think it is in the ncaa bylaws or written somewhere else that this is how it has to be. this attendence thing is a joke. they went away from on campus sites years ago because they didn't want to give teams an extra advantage but now we are about to be subject to this crap about going away from integrity to cover their a$$es and put an extra 300 people in the stands.

let's remember this is the NCAA we are thinking about and they would like to stick it to us anyway they can. this whole attenndence thing is overrated. do you actually think UND fans will show up in droves in grand rapids, I don't think so. they tend not to show up unless it is in reasonable driving distance of grand forks or minneapolis. I've been to regionals in the past where und's fanbase would be only pushing 200 or so and gopher fans are worse. that being said I just feel that no matter what happens we will be put in the region of death in grand rapids.

don't forget now that there are 6 wcha teams in the tournament they can do an inter-conference matchup if they choose they want to. so I wouldn't be surprised to see a und-denver/msum matchup in grand rapids with minny there as well. they did it in 2008.

it would keep some form of bracket integrity and Wodon over at CHN who knows more about this stuff then us thinks the committee might keep as close to a 1-8 or 1-7 bracket integrity as they can as qu has earned the "right" to that and he thinks bc is headed out west no matter what

if mich wins we end up in grand rapids, if notre dame wins we could end up in providence.

if notre dame wins there could be an outside chance we end up in providence with qu. not likely but a chance.

I might be completely wrong and we could see next week what we've seen a lot of the past pew weeks. but I have just had this feeling that next week is what this team has been waiting for. kristo and knight and the others didn't come back to win a macnaughton or a broadmoor(not saying they didn'y want to) but danny specifically said he came back to win a nat title and gleason made mention with tim last night that next week they play for the banner they really want. maybe next week we'll see the team that showed up against tech on sunday for 4 games. we've seen it when they play with desperation they are dificult to beat and one and done speaks volumes of having to play with desperation.

I don't blame this loss on saunders, he didn't help the cause but if you go 0-6 against the worst pk in the league you have some issues. 1-6 would have won the game. it came down to special teams and ours weren't very special at all.

manchester is essentialy a home game for new hampshire therefore qu would only go there if they absolutely had to being they are the top overall seed. it think the committee would also keep bc in providence or manchester if they can.

we have two decent goalies neither of which can put more than two solid games together in a row. however, I'm not sure decent gets you out of next weekend.

the BIG difference between UND this year and Duluth two years ago is that in all liklihood we end up in a region with minny versus duluth who got shipped out east with yale,union and air force. there is not a chance in hell we get paired up with the likes of yale and qu. if we go east we get unh and bc/lowell in a region or bc/lowell and qu. pretty big difference there. also the title of this thread should be duluth theory not denver theory as DU didn't even make the final in 2004 when they won it.

I'm okay with us losing last night, what scares me is the thought of just really getting screwed next week. something to the tune of us in a regional that looks like this UND-BC, UM-UM in grand rapids.
