Dave Hakstol Leaving to Coach NHL Philadelphia Flyers

who did it work for in the past? You would've torn Hak a new butthole if he did that. -

im glad no one here actually coaches the team because we would never even win A game....On the other hand, some peoples mentality on here is "players win games and coaches lose games" -

again, how is it haks fault that Zane decided to play his worst game every this year against BU? should he have put in Johnson? Again, is it Haks fault that Luke Johnson hit a ton of posts? -

Hak will have a long legacy at UND that will outweigh most coaches at UND. -

why didn't Kentucky win the national championship this year, they went undefeated the whole season and lost in the championship game...one and done tournament formats don't favor powerful teams at all, that's what makes them interesting. -

what are you puzzled at? Hak is a good coach and he has proven that he is. -

would he have an agent? not sure why Hak would've needed one, as he was pretty set in stone at UND... -
its going to be exciting to see who it is!

UND produces a lot of high quality coaches that a lot of schools would pay dearly to have....
-
Great players dont necessarily make great coaches. from my experience, its the crappy players that end up being the best coach out there.
-
Why would he have failed?

Rick Wilson?? probably doesn't want to leave the MN wild but just a thought

Adrian Peterson wants trade to Cowboys

Of course no player is going to get what an MLB player gets. heck, Bobby Bonilla is still getting paid more than some Mets players and he doesn't even play anymore.... -

like ive said before im not a Vikings fan but they could be a top 4 team in the NFC. -
winning a championship as a player is like saying "Jimmy Garoppolo" knows how to win the big game each time he gets there..
-
I think that would be pretty devastating if he left.....
-
It's pretty strange why he can't get a job at the NCAA level but I know when the Michigan Tech job was open, someone asked him if he would go there and he said they couldn't afford him (this was when he was an assistant at UND).

I thought I read somewhere that Eades wanted more out of the ownership group (commitment to the team) and they didn't agree. More or less a different vision of how a program should be ran. Fargo has been all in since they got into the league and they are willing to do whatever it takes to win. It will probably be a better fit for Eades.
-
never called you out specifically but you have been one of the more vocal people in the past about getting rid of Hak. Eades name has always been tossed around for being a coach because "he knows how to win", I'm just pointing out that the Eades supporters should let it go, as he wont be coaching at UND for a long time because of his past indiscretions during his last tenure here.
-
Build a bridge and get over it guys, Eades will not be the HC at UND. He has too much baggage that UND does not want to touch. When Hak went to Sioux Falls they were in last place and the following year he turned them around....
-
maybe he was seeing what the Blues were going to do with Hitchcock....

Longtime Grand Forks broadcaster enters hospice

definitely sad news. Jim Bollman Sr (there is a Jim Bollman Jr, who is a spiting image of his father) did a lot for the community and that should never be forgotten. Not only do I remember him from his time on the radio but his community involvement is what stands out the most to me. -

this is becoming a big mess...i know zimmer is dropping the hammer hard but does that hurt the Vikes later on in the season when things aren't going AP way? the vikes have had this happen before (moss, harvin) and i could see it happen again.
