  1. you obviously don't collect gamers and understand how it works. if UND enters the postseason as the number one overall seed, they will wear the home colored jerseys 9x out of 10, thus only wearing one color (could be more but unlikely). if UND enters at a lower seed, the equipment manager puts the FF patch on all the jerseys as they are not the team who dictates the color. this specific year they only wore the green jerseys because they played in the semifinal game. also, it wouldn't take you long to find out who this person is. he posted a picture of said jersey on this thread not too long ago.
  2. Well written but in reality, it's a pipe dream. UND does not fit the B10 mold as a school; strike one. The B10 wouldn't give up any TV revenue to UND and UND would want some of it; strike two. UND does not need the B10 conference or any of those schools, they are doing just fine playing other out of conference games.
  3. They changed their nickname 15 years ago, Fighting Hawks is not even a year old! Everyone always says that it takes time for wounds to heal and for most alumni/fans, it will take a long time.
  4. Some would and would have a good point. I'm saying that in Hak's tenure, he never missed an NCAA tournament (BC did in 09) and was always challenging for a title. Without that consistency , I don't think you get Boeser (was going to go to Wisconsin) or Ausmus (was going to go to Denver) or any other talented player over the past few years. In closing, yes it is Berry who coached this team to a title but don't forget that it was Hak who really laid the foundation over the last 11 yrs to get to this point.
  5. FACT: Hakstol kept the program as the most successful, consistent team over the past 11 years in NCAA Hockey. If he doesn't keep them at the top, none of these kids even consider coming to UND (i.e. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Denver). The big test for Berry (which I don't think will be a problem) is to keep them at the top now every year.
  6. That's like me (or anyone else on here) saying that the hockey team will lose a few underclassman to pro contracts...
  7. chalk up another wrong answer.... Do you ever get tired of being wrong?
  8. Don't beat me up for this but if Zane stayed, do we win the title?
  9. Coaching staff knows who is going and who will stay.
  10. It will probably be good for Johnson to be gone. He was a good player but I think his development at UND has peaked and a change of scenery will be good for him.
  11. Where does Johnson go? I said this yesterday, Aaron Dell's stock was high after 2011 and he could only sign with a CHL team.
  12. Aaron Dell thought he was going to get signed after his Jr year but it didn't happen like he thought. Unless you are putting up Ryan Miller numbers, chances are you are staying. Not too surprised about Boeser leaving, there was a report I read that Vancouver even told him to stay. If given the opportunity, it would be hard not for the guys to leave. I mean you just won a Natty and now someone is shoving a big signing bonus in front of your face...
  13. Low blow for sure but I get what you mean. He is a typical Gopher rube who thinks the Gophers do no wrong, there is a reason (outside of his drug problems) that he does not work for any major news outlet. Not sure what game he that he saw but I did not see any illegal hits on Saturday night, it was nothing but a fast and physical game both sides played. On top of that, he is the one with no class; what did he expect when he wrote that after UND won? What a frickin moron...
  14. Thanks for contributing 10 posts to this board. Your insight is thoughtful and interesting to read!
  15. If anyone is interested, check out Jeff Dubay's Facebook page...
  16. Why are we still talking about this? The B10 will be fine with its current members (and any other ones that come on board) and UND will not go to the B10, they will work on making the NCHC better then it already is.
  17. Midco's 5 year deal started in 12-13, so it will end after the 16-17 season. If I'm a betting man, I would put money on Midco not retaining the UND deal due to their inability to reach people unless they are in Midco's viewing area.
  18. I believe Midco could add another station to their long list of channels already to accommodate multi-sports coverage in the region. Hockey contract wont be up until 2017.
  19. I'm sorry, but did I miss something? Are we done with our season? WHY THE F&^* are we talking about guys leaving the program when we still have a season going on???
  20. Still never understood why you didn't like Hak as a coach. To each their own...
  21. I haven't read pages 2 and 3 (so excuse me if its been brought up) but what about the Cinderella story coming out of little old Carrington, ND? Coming from small town ND and being drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL draft. Now that's a story....
  22. Let's just hope for his sake that Cleveland does not take him, otherwise the poor kid will be be just another trivia question in a long list of Browns QB's...
  23. True, I shouldn't have said it the way I did. What I was trying to say was, why leave a conference that you are in control of and would get a better share of TV money? Also, it would only be a matter of time before the B10 adds another original member from the B10 and UND is out. Seeing as Minnesota has let the "cooling off" period come to and end, we will likely see more teams like Wisconsin and Minnesota on a regular basis. Not only that but after the season the B10 teams had this year, I am willing to bet you will see a lot more schools from the B10 schedule better out of conference games.
  24. I've said that from the beginning but people don't think that it is a big deal. In all reality, this is basically a fun topic to chat about on SS but I would be willing to bet that the B10 will not ask UND to join. There would be no benefit for UND joining anyway.
