By reading, you and cratter should try it...

We could never get a garanteed slot as an affiliate member. If other B10 schools start hockey we would be the first to be told to pound sand.
-
I'm the least PC person here but laughing about someone's sexuality is a joke? have some &*I(ing respect! You might as well go hang out with that other Bigot (DHG) from Duluth!
-
It will be interesting to see how Cam Johnson builds off of his success from this year.
-
One could argue the opposite side of that too. Like I said before, LJ and the Blackhawks felt he would develop better in their organization, so he made the right choice for himself. Can't fault a guy for that...
-
College game is by far different than the NHL/AHL game. So yes, LJ development could've peaked at UND. The goal for all these players isn't to play college hockey, its to make it to the NHL and if LJ and the Blackhawks think he has peaked at UND, its time for him to move on. Who are we to say its a weird or a bad decision?
-
Chicago doesn't...
-
So Stetcher and LaDue leaving early is odd too?
-
What is odd about LJ leaving? He has probably peaked at UND in terms of development, so it would be in Chicago's best interest to sign him early and have him work on his game in their system.
-
Come out from where? If that question has the meaning behind it like I think it does, that is unacceptable and you should be ashamed of yourself!

Strange how Lacrosse bumps College hockey on ESPN when you say college hockey has "better" TV ratings and bring in more revenue...
-
What I am saying is affiliated members only in certain sports have not gotten revenue in the past and I was using them as an example (lacrosse is a niche sport as is hockey). That being said knowing the arrogance of the B10 and its members, it could go to UND with an initial offer and say "join our league but you wont get any TV revenue". That's when UND tells them to pound sand.
-
John Hopkins is an affiliated member in Lacrosse and they do not receive any money from the B10 network.
-
UND does not need to go to the B10, I've said that all along. The B10 offers nothing to UND but letting all those awesome B10 schools ride the financial coat trains of UND and their fans.
-
Miami of Ohio has History of Success, they have a bigger endowment then UND and their location is a lot better then UND's.
-
Does UND have to pay Learfield or is it the other way around?
-
Darn budget cuts!

http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2015/10/is_there_anything_the_big_ten_can_do_to_help_rutge.html I read somewhere (I'll have to dig back and see if I can find the article) that non affiliated schools do not receive any money from the B10 network, they would share tournaments dollars but that's about it. I have included another link on how the B10 pays the new membership schools a small percentage until they are fully transitioned into the new conference (6 full years). In all reality, UND should take their production in-house and sell the rights to a broad spectrum of cable providers.
-
We've gone over this, UND would be an invite only school and would not receive any revenue from the B10 network. So their only other option would be to split the revenue from the B10 tournament and why would UND want to share that when it would be majority of their fans showing up to begin with.

He may not have Twins money but I would think if he was asked in a private setting, he would help out someway...
-
How is it a stretch? Just because they are in two different states does not mean they are not part of the metro.
-
Are you talking about Dragons football? I'm a HUGE fan of them!
-
One would think that but the sad truth is, they can't. I've been to a few games (wife gets free tickets and its college hockey) and I'd say its 3/4 full each time I've went.

I wasn't comparing MPLS to GF.

No, Minneapolis is a bandwagon town.
