Are you kidding me? As a fan of football, the officiating in this game should disgust everyone. Let's start with the first Seahawk touchdown being 86'd because of offensive pass interference. Jackson and the d-back essentially run into each other and both put their arms up (very gently at that), and Jackson gets called for the penalty? OK, that's number one. Number two...the long pass to Stevens that ends up down at the one yard line called back because of holding. Even Madden was wondering where the holding was on that play. Late in the game...a chop block penalty on the quarterback? Hasselbeck was trying to make a tackle for crying out loud! What on earth would he be throwing a chop block for? That 15 yard gain certainly helped Pittsburgh. And how about that phantom touchdown. The referee didn't come in immediately and give an emphatic signal. He wandered in, looked where the ball was, then put his arms up. I'll concede that the review didn't do much of anything and give it the benefit of the doubt, but it was pretty clear on the field that the referee didn't call it a TD until he saw where the ball was well after Ben had been tackled (and moved it one foot forward across the goal line). The fix was on!

I thought of "hostile and abusive" when I saw the name "Rebels" as a choice. Yea, that doesn't offend anybody, does it? The first thing most people (well, at least some of those with a knowledge of US history) think of when they hear the word 'rebel' is the Civil War.

In all the conversation I've read and heard about Irmen's jersey pop, not once did I read anything about him being spit at while in the penalty box. Where did you get that information?

Spandex nothing...are those CUT-OFF JEAN SHORTS? My eyes...my eyes! Oh the horror! On the flip side, I haven't seen that much leopard-print since my one and only visit to The Platinum Fox. Only there, the material came in much, much smaller pieces.

The only motivation the Sioux need is that if they lose, their chances grow slimmer and slimmer for making the tournament. Stop looking at the standings, points, who wins, who UND needs to lose, etc. Go 8-0 the rest of the way and everything will fall into place.

The sharpie would have been funny if TO had promptly given the football to a kid. Giving it to Drew Rosenhaus? Cmon...class act from a class clown, but with TO, nothing shocks me any more. He's the epitomy of what's wrong with today's athlete. Frankly, it would be fun watching two of the biggest "ME ME ME" guys in the game (Moss being the other) line up for the same team.

Call it moral decay or whatever you want, it is what it is. Anybody older than 50 says Pete Rose got what he deserved, too. Anybody younger than that says "yea, I know he bet on baseball, but so what?". If Irmen or Kessel want to pop off after a win or what looks to be a win, fine. Honestly, I have a bigger issue with a guy like Chorney doing a rebuttal stunt with his team down two goals with two minutes left in the game. Besides, it makes for good mockery and both Irmen's stunt and Kessel's will be remembered. A guy wearing a Gopher Hockey hat was sitting behind me at the afore-mentioned Red Wings/Wild game the other night. I stood up (with my four year old son no less) and cheered after each Detroit goal and after each one, he would yell "sit down!" or "Wings suck!". When it was 4-0, I'd had enough and I turned around, looked him right in the eye, and said "Hey Gopher fan...who am I?" while putting my cupped hand to my ear. I didn't hear a peep out of him the rest of the game.
