Assuming people got downtown early enough, I have two suggestions for time/location: Before the 7:35 pm play-in game at Wild Tymes. Obviously, Gopher fans have little interest in the Thursday night game this year and this game always has plenty of seats available. Given the scenario that the Sioux could easily be in this game, sometime between 5-6:30 would be good. Before the 2:35 pm 3rd place game on Saturday, also at Wild Tymes. You avoid the monster rush Friday for the St Patrick's Day parade in St Paul and the between-games crowd waiting for the 7:35 pm championship Saturday night.

I'd be interested...in the meantime, perhaps people heading to or living in the Twin Cities area could meet for the Final Five?

I was pondering purchasing an authentic home Sioux hockey jersey and having it personalized. I've heard from a friend of mine that he has seen several "authentics" and that the REA personalization kit is beyond bad. Can anyone back this up or say otherwise? I also heard that authentics are on sale at Scheels. Any better luck with them? I'm hesitant to purchase an authentic only to ruin it with shoddy personalization. Thank you for your help.

Not exactly what I had in mind, Sioux-cia.

I believe Mariucci Arena has now hosted three regional tournaments. In 2000, the Sioux were there and Minnesota was not. In 2003, both teams were there, but the Sioux were defeated by Ferris State and didn't play Minnesota. Last season, Goldy had Cornell, Ohio State, and Maine to contend with while the Sioux were out east. Frankly, I've spent more time whining about that '98 regional in Ann Arbor than any regional in Minneapolis.

Now that's just wrong! Men were not put on the earth to be glorified for their bodies. Now the Swedish bikini team, on the other hand...

SHOWTIME!

That's sexist, degrading, and demoralizing to women everywhere. What channel is it on?

My son has been a fan of Jordan Parise ever since Jordan flipped a game-puck from a game in Houghton last winter to him. We were sitting right behind the team bench. Jordan also slid a piece of gum in between the plexi-glass for him.

OK, speaking of me coming up to Grand Forks...let's say I purchase an authentic white Nike jersey from REA or Scheel's. I would want authentic customization on the sleeves and the back, specifically, the number 19 and my name. I've heard whispers that REA's "authentic" customization jobs leave something to be desired. Is there any truth to that rumor?
-
Uh...not quite what I had in mind, but very funny, PCM.

I'm holding out for an autographed puck for my four year old. If you can make that happen, I'll be leaving at 7:00 am Saturday morning for Grand Forks.

So let me get this straight...if I make the trip Saturday, I've got a free drink compliments of NDFlyer in the lower level, a second free drink compliments of raynman03 in section 302, and perhaps some pre-game college memories re-lived at the Italian Moon compliments of THETRIOUXPER. I'm practically gassing up my truck!

One of the big problems I have is actually answering Paukovich. The guy probably had his head on a swivel every time he was on the ice because he was wondering if a Sioux player would take a shot at him. What a great way to get a guy off his game...by having him worry about getting hit or taking a cheap-shot. Now that that cheap-shot has been delivered, it's Prpich who will skate around against Denver looking for the re-retaliatory strike.

Big hug. That's what I like about the message boards. In the end, we're all fans of the same team, and that, in my opinion, is what counts.
-
Do you have cable TV or dish network? WWE...you will love it.
-
LOL...we're on the same team, NDFlyer. There is a slight chance I'll be driving up from Mpls for Saturday's game against Michigan Tech. If I make it up, I'll stop on down. Are you going to be at the Final Five? Flyers gear? You mean your leather bomber jacket and goggles? My posted about "you" wasn't directed at you. It's about any fan on the board.
-
I'm talking about what would apparently appease some of the gladiators on this board: Prpich or somebody from UND retaliating once and for all against Paukovich. Is that what you wanted to see last weekend? I didn't mean hiding literally. But, seriously, how would anyone have a clue who you are? Maybe you're the guy sitting next to another person on the board at a Sioux game? It's easy to fire off venom when the only thing anyone might be able to find out about you is an IP address. Maybe if a player, another fan, or even a Sioux coach recognized you every day by walking by you on campus, some people here would think twice about their posts.

My next avatar will be that of a tattoo that I have on the back of my left shoulderblade: the old Blackhawk-style Sioux logo with the words "NORTH DAKOTA" above it in black and "FIGHTING SIOUX" below it. Feel free to continue questioning my loyalty. A few pointers on your post, too. Feel free to add a punctuation mark now and then. It makes it so much easier for the reader. Also, there is a difference between "there," "their," and "they're." Grab a dictionary in your spare time and brush up on some word usage.

Maybe Prpich should have Bertuzzi'd Paukovich so that while being banned from college hockey for the rest of the season, at least he'd have earned respect of some posters hiding behind avatars on a message board.
-
Please. You're grasping at straws now.
-
Who said I was perfect, raynman03? Maybe you're right, it's all a big gigantic conspiracy against the Sioux. Someone call the White House! If you have watched enough games this season and can give me your estimate of "legit" vs non-legit CFB's, be my guest.
-
UND leading the league in PIM's is due to "aggressiveness". However, if Minnesota lead the league in penalties, I can already hear the cries on this board of what a bunch of classless goons the Gophers are. Take your green and white colored goggles off once in a while.
-
I love all this talk about the Sioux retaliating. Hey, that reminds me, do UND players still lead the league in checking from behind penalties?
-
LOL...are you referring to last year's Final Five game where there were maybe 12,000 fans in the stands at the X? That game didn't matter anyways, right? It's not like one team was able to feed off the energy from a big win and defeat the same team a few weeks later in the Frozen Four! Oh wait...nevermind...
