  1. The 1997-1998 Sioux team: “hold our beer.” In fact, I talked to Brad DeFauw a few weeks ago in Grand Forks. Believe me when I say this, he’s STILL angry about being shipped to Yost Ice Arena for that regional game.
  2. This was post-remodel REA...it was usually between 40 and 50 above inside.
  3. I'm a small contributer myself and just delivering what some kind folks help put together...pics will be shared when they become available.
  4. I’ll be thanking some donors soon enough. Literally just picked these items up - we’re about to put some smiles on some young Sioux fan faces. I can’t wait for Friday’s first stop along the route between Fargo and Grand Forks.
  5. #5. Train Wreck. Ever seen these goons play? Watching Godsmack clown it up on the ice makes me want to punch a baby. Their 1st line center once slew-footed his own 8 year old kid in a father-son game. Sheesh. #4. St Cloud State. I think I’ll wear a red MAGA hat there this year along with my SIOUX jersey. That should really help rile up the protesters. #3. Boston College. This smug bunch of choir boys deserves to get their collective asses kicked every time they step on the ice. #2. Minnesota-Duluth. Where do we start with this one? From Ciskie and DrunkHockeyGuy to the weekly diving contests the fans are subjected to...oh, not to mention that Herter and Sandelin have totally turned to the dark side of the force. #1. Minnesota. From the 40something fan who poked my then 7-8 year old in the chest at the X while yelling, “Sioux suck!” at him to the Gopher goons who caused $3,000 worth of damage to my new 2010 Ford Escape while it was parked at the Victory Ramp years ago - all punishment for the crime of me wearing a Sioux jersey and parking next to you...I don’t need any reasons other than these. Hands down winner.
  6. Gifts are done...I’ll be picking them up today. First one is scheduled to be delivered on Friday afternoon/evening.
  7. No, but I am out of toilet paper.
  8. MUST FIND THIS STORE LOCATION IMMEDIATELY SO I CAN BUY ONE!
  9. RIGHT? It’s like Greg Louganis is a volunteer coach at both schools!
  10. The old one was a little goofy and it was hard to recognize what exactly it was on a hockey jersey. This new one is cleaner and I like the effect of the mountains at the top of the shield.
  11. Nope. I'm predicting a good old-fashioned TCoS this weekend.
  12. #ferdaOxbow6
  13. You're telling me that the Grenora Gophers are no more? EDIT: The Mon-Dak Thunder? Well, as long as no one is offended, I guess... https://www.facebook.com/MonDakThunder?ref=br_tf
  14. THIS, however...beautiful.
  15. That jersey sucks. First, the obvious. The addition of silver into the scheme just mucks things up. Totally out of place. Second, just "COLORADO COLLEGE" on the front? Really? That's it? Sorry, but this is gonna be a 'no' from me, dawg.
  16. Where in that article do you read into the idea of a breakaway conference involving Vermont, UNH, Maine, and UMass-Lowell?
  17. And how does the new jersey look?
  18. It is for real. Nice update. https://gazette.com/sports/colorado-college-athletics-releases-new-logos-to-be-used-in/article_f2acd37c-49ee-11ea-b11d-872552ea13e9.html
  19. Is this for real? I had not heard of this at all and I follow logo changes pretty closely!
  20. The annual SiouxSports.com brunch at The Hoggsbreath in Little Canada, MN, will be held on Saturday, March 21st, starting at 11 am. I look forward to the return of North Dakota to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff and a good crowd of fans in the seats at The Hogg on that Saturday morning. The event typically concludes around 1 pm — plenty of time to get back downtown for the 3rd place game. I’ll have the usual assortment of door prizes and goodies and this year, we will pay tribute to a good man and a good friend who we lost this past year, Tim Kessler, known to us as “sprig.” The Hoggsbreath is straight north out of St Paul on 35E, then take Highway 36 west to the first exit, Rice Street. Go north on Rice Street about a mile and it’s on your right-hand side. It’s literally 10 minutes away from the X and unlike the jam packed overpriced bars you’ll find downtown, you’ll actually be able to enjoy a good priced meal and time with some familiar faces on the message board. Roll call starts now as I do like to give Jossie and Tom a heads-up on how many people will be coming. The high water mark was 2013 - we had roughly 75 people in attendance that year and it was awesome. Any questions, please let me know. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone there! P.S. For those of you who had my cell number, my car was involved in a smash n grab about 10 days ago, forcing me to give up my phone number. If I have not alerted you of the new number yet and you would like it, send me a PM.
  21. Thank you to all who have contributed to this project. I am cautiously optimistic that I will be picking up surprise gift #1 for our first recipient early next week and delivering it on Friday night before the DU game! And again, if you know of a younger fan going thru a difficult illness or life-changing situation, please PM me and I can have some more of these gifts made. Thank you!
  22. Well, Teddy Roosevelt spent like 15 minutes in the state and the Roughriders charged up the Killdeer Mountains, so I guess that makes more sense...
  23. If we're gonna go that route, why wouldn't they just name them the Knights instead?
