  1. That's $17 American for those keeping score at home.
  2. I'm not really a fan of either team, but I found it hilarous that when the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series, people seemed to eat it up as "score one for the little guy" because the #1 payroll in the land, the Yankees, DIDN'T win the title. Nevermind that the #2 payroll in the land WAS those same Red Sox...
  3. I think then the biggest reason that you hate the word is because your first association of what it means is with Reggie Jackson, Billy Martin, George Steinbrenner, Bernie Williams, and E-Rod. That shouldn't cloud your definition of what it means or what its origins are. On the flip-side, would sometime tell some of those redneck good ol' southern boys that THEY LOST and to get over it. Sheesh.
  4. How many days until Runninwiththedogs becomes Drunkgirlinthestandsdancingduringthefinalfive?
  5. No child left behind...unless they're U of Minnesota kids!
  6. Pardon me for being not-so-smart, but I hope a herpe-tologist isn't what I think it is.
  7. Boo hoo. You had me, then you lost me.
  8. WHY DON'T YOU JUST SHUT YOUR PIE-HOLE? Oh, what the hell, cmon and join us...
  9. Let me know when you're in town this winter, BleedGrn...and I'll make sure we alert the locals to move the party to the Eagan Senser's.
  10. I thought the 'twins' resided only in YOUR jersey, Runninwiththedogs?
  11. You're a class act all the way, RWTD!
  12. I'm checking with Denny's management as well as the city of Bloomington Public Works Department in addition to Kent Hrbek. I'll get back to you all ASAP if I obtain permission from all affected parties.
  13. I think tens of millions of dollars is pretty unreasonable, but if I'm the Russian leagues, of course I'm upset. We're not talking a run-of-the-mill fourth liner with Malkin.
  14. Diggler, was that the winter of 1988-1989 series with Robb Stauber and company? I was five people behind you in line and had to fend off an attack by rabid raccoons followed by an angry group of Mexican killer bees that apparently took a liking to my Sioux jersey. How I made it out of there, I have no idea.
  15. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.
  16. Every once in a while, Doug Woog makes an appearance out there, too. I was able to meet and chat with him last year during the Sunday night Sioux/Mankato WCHA playoff game.
  17. Exactly! It didn't seem to be a big deal with Maurice Clarett cheating and lying his way thru Ohio State (thru no fault of OSU's, of course ) so why would Myles and co. get their undies in a bunch over attendance? Frankly, I'd be more concerned with flying a Confederate flag over the state capitol building in Bismarck than I would over attendance.
  18. Yea...they lost to Holy Angels Academy in the first round.
  19. $200,000 to get this guy out of Russia? I hate to say it, but his Russian team has a point. Given the bidding wars in major league baseball where teams submit sealed bids to Japanese baseball clubs for the rights to "buy" players like Ichiro Suzuki and 'Godzilla,' that's absurd that $200K could buy Malkin.
  20. Sarcastic...but damn that was funny.
  21. sioux7>5, I used to always hear about Joe Senser's in Bloomington but never ventured out for a similar reason...except I don't have the wife to worry about - I just have no other friends who are Sioux fans. I decided to go out and watch the east region games two years ago and was stunned at how many fans from this message board were there. Runninwiththedogs and UMDDogz were there and I've also met siouxguyinstpaul, Yttrium, Bigchief, NorthDakotaHockey, and dagies, amongst dozens of other members from the board. If you're ever debating going out and catching a game, I suggest putting a post on here about it and I GUARANTEE you that someone will invite you to sit with their bunch. You're amongst friends at siouxsports.com.
