I never ever implied or stated that Phil's decision had everything to do with Rocco's championship game performance. He could have chosen to sulk and pout but he chose to react in a positive manner. I'm guessing the Slovakia issue is dead and buried in the minds of both Grimaldi and Housley. Perhaps you also feel Herb Brooks should have handled the 1980 team a bit differently? After all, apparently you have seen 'Miracle'.

LOL...yea, because the true message to Rocco would have been to bench him for the title game. The quarterfinal game was a message and Rocco got it. You would be calling for Housley's head if Rocco was on the last shift of the game in that blow-out and got injured. Hopefully Gary Bettman has the common sense to do the following: Move the Phoenix Coyotes to Canada...either Toronto or Hamilton will do just fine. Contract the league by folding franchises in Dallas, Tampa Bay, Miami, and Anaheim. Do NOT let a wacky owner like Charles Wang continue to demolish a once-proud franchise called the New York Islanders. Sign Executive Order #318 and send the name 'North Stars' back to Minnesota. Force Mario Lemieux to change Penguins jerseys back to black and yellow, not black and 'Vegas gold.' And I don't even like Pittsburgh. Division realignment...NOW! Winnipeg in the Southeast? Minnesota still playing Vancouver 75 times a year? Give me a break! That's my NHL wish list...for now.

Congratulations to everyone affiliated with Team USA on this tournament victory. The selection folks, coaching staff and players deserve a ton of credit for taking home the WJT championship. USA! USA! USA!

Lots of people on here know what they're talking about. You'd be surprised at some of the real-life faces and names behind monikers here. I am not disputing that at all, nor am I professing to be some hockey know-it-all.

I get a kick out of posters here who feel any Sioux fan who says anything positive about a program or coach other than North Dakota is a 'troll' or 'buffoon'. Rocco is college hockey's Tim Tebow for some folks around here. BTW, www.ponyhockey.com if you want more information about Stillwater hockey.

In summary: Rocco benching - a true injustice to hockey fans everywhere. Mario benching - I hate that guy anyways and his dad coaches the Gophers so who cares?

I hope Team USA wins gold, Rocco scores an OT game-winner, and he and Phil Housley hug on the ice. I don't mind your comments either, internet tough guy.
