Sweden did its best to try to reign in Nike's dogs...they wanted to do the flag splattered on the jersey a la Finland or Russia and Sweden hockey officials said 'no way.' Unfortunately, Nike still removed the stripes around the arms and threw on the tacky rubber ship thing onto the shoulder area. The jerseys for every country are just awful.

I read your whole post...decided to quote just the first sentence. So in that instance, he's 100% certain that the ball will just roll out of bounds? I'd say that's a pretty big gamble. Protect the ball...seems like a good idea.
