Had North Dakota played Michigan State or Ohio State in '98 at Yost instead of Michigan, I have zero doubt that UND would have steamrolled Michigan a week later in the Frozen Four. The "reward" for being a top seed should not be a regional trip to the lion's den.

So how was the pizza? (this is the part where you say...)..."well, it started off with a tasty flash that got my hopes up, but the finish was disappointing." EDIT: Rocco, if you read this, I'm only kidding. I could try that back-hand shot you scored on in the WI game 100 times and make 1. On a good day.

Whew! For a second there, I thought the golf-train had de-railed to XXX-ville!

To be fair, I never said or insinuated any such comments as those attributed to me by your reply back to my original post.

Why is it that all of the hockey coach supporters are lumped in as "lifetime contract" Kool-Aid drinkers who kneel daily and pray to Dave Hakstol bobbleheads? I just don't get that...

A round of cheers today for Ryan Braun in Milwaukee as he returns from his suspension... Barry Bonds to present Andrew McCutchen with the 2013 MVP award in Pittsburgh...and he has some sort of "special hitting assistant" job with the Giants... Mark "I'm not here to talk about the past" McGwire has a new job as hitting instructor with the LA Dodgers... We hate cheaters in baseball...unless they're OUR team's cheaters. Then we cheer for them. Roger Maris, Babe Ruth, and Jackie Robinson must be rolling over in their graves.

Been happy with Dish...would be happy to "refer a friend" and split fifty bucks, LOL!

Yep. Let those of us already registered over there do the heavy lifting.

I thought MSU had the easiest game of the four this weekend against UConn. What was the Spartan guard doing fouling the guy chucking up the desperation three pointer near the end of the game? Thanks for the three gimme free throws. Ballgame.

I believe Hirsch re-joined the team for the Frozen Four that year...

What can you say about such men?

Love the avatar, hoser! There are amigos falling out of the sky!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...

Nice genuine post. Big win last night...I have to admit, I didn't see that blowout coming.

Frank Mazzocco...what a homer...completely crushed after that goal.

UMass-Lowell was a juggernaut last year...Yale absolutely skated circles around them and it STILL took an overtime goal to win it for the Bulldogs. Then, with 6-2, 4-1, and 3-0 losses against Quinnipiac already last season staring them in the face, Yale goes out and crushes the Q-cats 4-0. Believing you can do it is the first step in achieving the goal. And as crazy as it sounds, this North Dakota team started believing in itself the moment a Wisconsin puck went into the back of Ohio State's net just over a week ago. They believe. It's time some folks believe in the dream along with them.

Hilarious! Nicely done.

Hopefully your recovery is going smoothly...take care and rest up. I thought we could all use a dose of humor and couldn't resist... Frozen Four it is...with Darth Vader and the Evil Emperor in our way. Maybe this is how it is supposed to be? The demons of 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2012 all exorcised in back-to-back games next weekend? I can't wait to find out.

Was just a question, ChetRipley.

Third. Not much has changed from this announcement made last season... http://www.annarbor.com/sports/michigan-hockey-team-announces-new-uniforms-for-2012-13-season-great-lakes-invitational/

Ahh, yes, the good old days of Red Auerbach, the eight straight NBA titles from '59-'66. You forgot to mention that the NBA consisted of EIGHT teams during that time period. Eight. John Wooden's teams were playing in tournaments consisting of 20-30 teams, a far cry from the 68 we see today. Both of these men were incredible coaches - among the best in any sport in any era. But you have to use a little perspective when comparing coaches and championships won in the 1950's and 1960's to today...and that includes college hockey.
