Frank Mazzocco...what a homer...completely crushed after that goal.

UMass-Lowell was a juggernaut last year...Yale absolutely skated circles around them and it STILL took an overtime goal to win it for the Bulldogs. Then, with 6-2, 4-1, and 3-0 losses against Quinnipiac already last season staring them in the face, Yale goes out and crushes the Q-cats 4-0. Believing you can do it is the first step in achieving the goal. And as crazy as it sounds, this North Dakota team started believing in itself the moment a Wisconsin puck went into the back of Ohio State's net just over a week ago. They believe. It's time some folks believe in the dream along with them.

Hilarious! Nicely done.

Hopefully your recovery is going smoothly...take care and rest up. I thought we could all use a dose of humor and couldn't resist... Frozen Four it is...with Darth Vader and the Evil Emperor in our way. Maybe this is how it is supposed to be? The demons of 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2012 all exorcised in back-to-back games next weekend? I can't wait to find out.

Was just a question, ChetRipley.

Third. Not much has changed from this announcement made last season... http://www.annarbor.com/sports/michigan-hockey-team-announces-new-uniforms-for-2012-13-season-great-lakes-invitational/

Ahh, yes, the good old days of Red Auerbach, the eight straight NBA titles from '59-'66. You forgot to mention that the NBA consisted of EIGHT teams during that time period. Eight. John Wooden's teams were playing in tournaments consisting of 20-30 teams, a far cry from the 68 we see today. Both of these men were incredible coaches - among the best in any sport in any era. But you have to use a little perspective when comparing coaches and championships won in the 1950's and 1960's to today...and that includes college hockey.

So after the '98 regional, the NCAA made a few rule changes...such as host team (if in host team's actual home rink) using visitor locker rooms if lower seed, home logos removed from ice (except for small logo as tournament host), and no third or alternate jerseys. So here's a question...why were Boston College and Minnesota wearing their third jerseys this weekend?

Thanks for NOTHING, Notre Dame!

You cannot give up a goal in the 3rd 21 seconds after you just took the lead!

I wouldn't say that I have a hatred towards ham...it's just that I prefer turkey instead.

Refs were being reminded by York that this game is in Worcester...
-
Not sure if it's been mentioned at all but UMass-Lowell has sweet jerseys.

Michigan State out...Arizona out. Bracket disaster for me if Michigan loses to Kentucky! Has any coach done less with more talent than Tom Izzo? How long will Michigan State tolerate Elite 8 appearances and Final Four failures? 8 Elite 8's...6 Final Fours...2 title game appearances...1 championship.

Good heavens...really hadn't even thought of that until you mentioned it. I'd just head to church and pray if that happens - for surely, the apocalypse will be upon us.

It's never too late to right a wrong, sagard...join us.

I was being sarcastic, Fetch. I'm on your side.

I'm not sure I have seen Hakstol more animated after a win than last night. Bear hugs on the bench? LOL!

UM-Lowell vs BC: 3-0 loss at BC 2-2 tie at Lowell St Cloud State vs Minnesota: 4-1 loss at whatever that tournament was at the X Seems to me that UMass-Lowell and St Cloud State have some scores to settle today...

It really was the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat as the victors piled up almost right in front of the Ferris State bench. Bob Daniels is one hellofa coach...heartbreaking loss for Ferris but congratulations on an outstanding season. The 2014 WCHA Champions - Ferris State Bulldogs.

Steven Stamkos with an own-goal on a delayed power player...d'oh! Check out the video. Yikes. http://nhl.si.com/20...-gif/?eref=sihp Lightning still won, 4-3, over Buffalo.

Just for the heck of it, I went back and re-read the entire "Fire Hak" thread this morning - and it was brutal. I give you credit for having the guts to post your thoughts today. UND may or may not win a championship this season, but the ride has been full of thrills once again. Minnesota State gave UMass-Lowell all it could handle yesterday. Beat either St. Cloud or Minnesota and there's a chance - hell, maybe it's destiny and old demons being exorcised against BC? Never woulda guessed Yale would beat Quinnipiac after getting pasted by the Bobcats four times last year but in that one game - ONE GAME - anything can happen. This is a team that BELIEVES in itself...and that's a scary thing.

Maybe Hak can have you give the pre-game pep talk prior to taking the ice in Philly?

I had Notre Dame going to the FF along with Union, North Dakota, and UMass-Lowell. Book-it pick of the day: UMass-Lowell over Boston College.
