  1. Rangers hanging on for dear life...wow!
  2. I must have imagined that 2011 regional where CC put a whoopin' on the defending national champs...
  3. Why is it that if you're from Mexico, you're Mexican, if you're from Japan, you're Japanese, and Italy, you're Italian, but if you're from the Netherlands, you're Dutch? Same thing for Denmark and being Danish.
  4. Can someone "loan" jerseys for the display or do they have to be sold outright?
  5. I spent about 8 minutes watching Croatia vs Brazil earlier today...3 different guys bumped in the face - all fell down in apparent agony writhing around in pain. For a second there, I thought I was watching Miami vs San Antonio and the NBA Finals!
  6. I'm going with Italy to win the whole thing this year... Just kidding. I know the rest of the world is in love with soccer but I just don't get the obsession...
  7. Well, of course! I probably saw a duck or two back in the day in the great lakes area around Belfield. LOL!
  8. Blah blah blah...ducks...blah blah blah...color...blah blah blah...Not at all like penguins...blah blah blah... Someone else in this thread was told by REA staff that Parise wore the "A" as well...bad information on their part. Jeremy, this is a great thread topic...perhaps other posters could tag along here and post their own pictures of places that Sioux jerseys have been worn?
  9. Didn't you get the memo? Bill Buckner threw out the 1st pitch at Fenway a few years ago in what was obviously a very emotional moment for him. Boston has forgiven Bill - not that he needed to apologize to anyone. Snake, I still have nightmares of Sidney Crosby raising the Stanley Cup at JLA in 2009. I still can't believe that the Red Wings lost that game.
  10. Well, not everyone's favorite team is talented enough to choke away a 3-0 series lead AND a 3-0 game 7 lead AT HOME, are they?
  11. My comments were in jest, gfNDfan. No one knows self-deprecating humor better than me, so take a chill pill and relax. If you interpreted my comments as this particular poster did, Jeremy_und2004, then I sincerely apologize to you personally. Of course it's cool to see a Sioux jersey on the other side of the globe (I'm familiar with the area, gfNDfan) and your pics are "cool" as well - even in the middle of the blazing hot desert.
  12. I'm fairly certain he did not - and also 100% certain that he never wore that style jersey. We might have a double foul on our hands here.
  13. I'll interpret your response for everyone: blah blah blah...Red Wings...blah blah blah...paint drying...blah blah blah...
  14. It's too bad Boston gagged and spit up a loss in game 6 last summer...alas, we'll never know what would have happened in Chicago in game 7.
  15. Really? I didn't know they were working on another project.
  16. It would appear that siouxsweet was correct...NY played a great first two games but look demoralized after the first goal of last night's game.
  17. I sure wish this was a full-time color switch and not just an "alternate" jersey. Good news...but still a bummer...
  18. If you haven't already seen the series "Band of Brothers," I highly recommend it. "The Pacific" is equally amazing.
  19. Great post...my dad was in the Navy as well, albeit the Vietnam era. The proper expression is "anchors aweigh," though. My dad corrected my spelling of the navy fight song years ago.
  20. They would have lost game 7 in Chicago anyways...
  21. Apples to oranges, cberkas. How many teams were in the league in the 1950's and 1960's (until 1967)? Six. Exactly six. Finish in the top four and win 8 games = Stanley Cup. And since the draft (I use that term loosely as there was no draft) was "territorial" in those days, Montreal and Toronto were able to keep local talent within 50 miles of their cities to themselves. Had Detroit or New York had the same talent pool to choose from in those days, they'd have 20+ Stanley Cups too.
  22. Let's not go completely off the wagon, Goon...
  23. I dunno about that...the flop by Rick Nash that was called sure gave the Rangers a golden opportunity to win the game...
  24. I was a Union fan for the entire tournament based on how their team acted and played on the ice, not because of my hatred of Minnesota.
