  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2636533/Mark-Cuban-comes-fire-claiming-hed-cross-street-saw-black-kid-hoodie.html Now what will the NBA do with Mark Cuban?
  2. Point 1 - totally agree. There's ZERO reason to be wearing a T-Wolves jersey or Vikings jersey to a Sioux game. Ever. Point 2 - totally agree again. I've never seen someone with a name on the back of a jersey but no number. Absolute foul. Point 3 - numbers only are fine if they're era-specific and names on the back didn't exist then. But if you're buying a 2014 Sioux, er, UND jersey and are just going to put a number on it, in my humble opinion, it just looks like something's missing.
  3. The whole realignment of college football has made me lose some interest in watching...college basketball is bad too.
  4. Plus it's offensive to some folks in Louisiana...
  5. Technically correct, which is why I don't buy or wear US flag swimming trunks or shirts covered in the flag. I think this is something the WWII generation had drilled into them but has fallen on the wayside with generations after...
  6. That shouldn't be a big surprise at all...build a stadium, get an All-Star game or Super Bowl...that's how the game is played.
  7. I believe it was 2006 that a Muslim group requested that they have their own separate prayer room at the MSP airport because the general prayer room apparently wasn't good enough...it's never good enough, werewolf, that's the whole problem.
  8. I guess the silver lining is that murders in DC must be way down thanks to the Bullets changing their name to the Wizards.
  9. What do you mean, Chewey? The IRS is doing a nice job of investigating potential extremist links in the USA, the man responsible for Bengazi (the anti-Muslim "video" guy) is in custody, Obama got Bin Laden...foreign policy has all been a huge success! As for those Indian nicknames...can you imagine how fired up the base would be if "Redskins" was eliminated by executive order? If Congress won't act, I will!
  10. Apparently 50 Democrats disagree with you on what's important...
  11. Awesome! Known-jersey collector siouxkid12 pipes in with his thoughts. This is like sitting down with the Pope and talking to him about Catholicism! What's your take then on your own name and number on the back? No-way? How about wearing jerseys of teams that aren't playing (let's say, for example, a Finland jersey to a Sioux/Denver game. What if you're wearing a Sioux hat with that jersey? Is that a chance to show off your jersey collection or are you a clown in non-Sioux gear?
  12. That's funny. Well I'll go ahead and make my take-it-to-the-bank pick of the day, although it isn't exactly going out on a limb: Rangers over Canadiens. Book it.
  13. "It was not circulated among Republicans." Well of course not. Everyone knows they're racists b*st*rds anyways. Good to see Harry Reid sticking up for those 22 tribes in Nevada who are no doubt impacted greatly by a football team located over 2,000 miles away...
  14. I wonder what other "nutrients" this kiwi contains...
  15. HEY! Write your own material! That's my line.
  16. I totally concur that this new jersey...and I won't ever own one myself. Having the new jersey with no numbers on it is a major foul. It actually would look cool minus the armpit stains and a Sioux logo on the shoulders. Then it would be awesome. The 50 year old guy wearing the jersey of an 18-year old freshman? Is that a foul? Player's name on the back of a jersey he never wore? Example: Current jersey with #7 and OSHIE or #29 BELFOUR. Blow the whisle? Your OWN name on the back of a jersey? You certainly can't be traded to another school, right? Foul or not?
  17. So this week's Sports Illustrated's cover person is none other than Carlos Gomez. The last paragraph of the article on Carlos mentions that he has been working with a hitting "guru" since the winter of 2012. The guru counseled him on dominating the strike zone and driving the ball back up the middle. The guru who has helped Carlos with this incredible rise in batting average and home the past couple of seasons? None other than Manny Ramirez.
  18. Kings yea yea!
  19. TWEET! FOUL! I'm speechless on this one, especially given the obvious possible mis-pronunciation of Seh-min.
  20. Does the similar rule also apply to the XXXL guy (and I'm not picking on XXXL guys here) who is wearing the replica jersey of a player the size of Brian Gionta?
  21. If you're going to spend $75 on customizing your authentic jersey, please don't do THIS to it. Also, "DISLEXIC" should have apparently been "SPELLING-CHALLENGED" and if your boyfriend is wearing #96 and your name is "BASSACKWARDS," shouldn't your number be #69? Of course, if she was #69, she'd be guilty of not one but TWO jersey fouls...
  22. Had a discussion with a buddy recently about what constitutes a jersey foul. The "jersey tucker" commercial below is a good example... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEzHC5wqLFw ...but that's an obvious one. Seriously, nevermind worrying about upsetting someone because of the logo on the front of your Sioux jersey, if you're tucking it in and made it past security into the arena, then security obviously isn't doing their job. I'll give you another one - and this one I saw personally at the X a few years ago. A mid-to-late 1980's green SIoux jersey. I won't say the name of the person who was wearing it, but let's just say you would all know who she is if I told you who her husband is. Anyways, the greens of this day and age did not have the nameplate with the name on the back sewn onto the jersey. Hers didn't either. What it did have, though, was a custom-made name on back. No name-plate, just a ridiculously small font of individual letters sewn on the back. When I asked her where she got this jersey, she snapped at me that it was "100% authentic". I let it go but it was a complete foul. Bill & Ted's Excellent Screenprinting and Embroidery fooled her big-time. I'm curious to know what your jersey fouls are...feel free to list them here.
  23. By "gritty," do you mean not willing to pull a Lucic on DeKeyser? Or being a crybaby in the handshake line after a series is over? I If so, then by all means, call the Red Wings "not gritty."
  24. I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.
