  1. Somebody by the name of Jim Dahl registered SundogSports.com about 10 minutes ago. Could be a sign...
  2. Breaking news: Nate Leaman just held a press conference and announced that the Friars worked all day Friday on fluky dump-ins from center ice that would make O'Connor nervous enough to toss the puck into his own net during crunch-time in the game. The man's a genius...
  3. Gave a negative just to "test it out," then saw that I gave it to the wrong post. Is there a way to "un-do" that?
  4. Oh, no no no no no. That's not on Blais at all. That's on the players.
  5. Isn't there already an "out" clause in Hakstol's contract that allows him to leave UND and take over at UNO when Blais calls it a career?
  6. Well, of course that's it. If the team wins, the coach "got his boys ready to play." If the team loses, he's an unprepared schmuck. You're so brilliant, gfhockey. It's unfortunate most of us just don't see it.
  7. If Hak is let go after his contract is up, I hope he winds up replacing Lucia at Minnesota and wins a dozen titles in a row. That way, everyone's a winner: the anti-Hak pitchforks-and-torches crowd gets to see him run out of town and the pro-Hakstol camp gets to see him get the monkey off his back.
  8. I have posted York's resumé along with Berenson's and Parker's several times over the years. Doesn't seem to make a difference to the skipping record crowd stuck on "York's won 4 since 2001."
  9. I wasn't paying attention to who the empty suit was...not even sure they announced his name as the presenter. Hilarious that he's a Wisc, er, excuse me, Minnesota Golden Badger.
  10. I thought they would as well - and that would have been a travesty.
  11. Boy, wasn't that the truth! Can you imagine if BU would have promptly come back down the ice and tied it?

    Timing

Going back a ways, you have the New York Titans who re-branded as the Jets and the Houston Colt .45's who became the Astros. The Wizards are obviously more recent than those and the New Orleans Hornets to Pelicans and Charlotte Bobcats to Hornets (version 2.0) are both "new."
  13. BU...upset in the national championship game. Bruins...eliminated from playoff contention on the last day of the regular season. Red Sox...steamrolled by the Yankees on Sunday night. What a sports weekend for Boston fans!
  14. That gaffe made it 3-3 with about 8 or 9 minutes left in the game. The entire BU team went into panic mode after that goal. I don't blame O'Connor as much as I blame the horrible D on the game-winning goal. Real quality own-zone coverage there.
  15. MafiaBoy cracked the top 75. ?
  16. Hot rumor has it that Brian Bonin, Chris Harrington, Dan Woog, Grant Potulny, and Robb Stauber have been invited to the 2015-2016 training camp for a try-out.
  17. I didn't post that to rip on Andy Kollar - just wanted to show how we laugh at the the silly mistakes made by our opponents and push our own team's gaffes to the dark cavern of our brains - along with the thoughts of being a fan of the Penguins or Bruins.

  19. Fixed post to conform to thread rules.
  20. I know we as Sioux fans love to razz Frazee about that one, but Andy Kollar had his own "whoops!" moment courtesy of a 160-170 foot puck courtesy of Jordan Leopold, I believe...
  21. *******Feel bad for O'Connor? F him. He goes down alongside Bill Buckner as the biggest goats in Boston sports history. What a fvking idiot. Two games in a row no less. That is the worst goal I've ever seen given up on any level in my 35 years of watching hockey. He should take out a full page ad tomorrow in the Globe and Herald and apologize to the fans who had to shell out scalper level prices to make the game thanks to inept athletic department. Quinn gets some blame for clearly not getting these guys to match PC's intensity (and kudos to Providence). It was a Parker-esque performance, and I don't mean that in a good way.***** Unbelievable. Anyone with a heart would tell you that that one moment in 1986 absolutely CRUSHED Bill Buckner. After Boston finally won the World Series, he was invited back to Fenway Park to throw out the first pitch at a game. Even then he was nervous about what kind of reception he would get from the fans. When the crowd erupted into cheers and gave Bill a standing ovation as he made his way from left field to the pitcher's mound, you could see how emotional he was - the man had tears running down his face. An incredible moment in sports history. As far as paragraph two, well, it's good to know other program have delusional fans. Quinn took a team that won 10 games last season and brought them to within a goal of winning an NCAA title. Plus he threw in a shot at Jack Parker, too. What a piece of work.
  22. ESPN even giving airplay to the NCAA goofball handing off the national chanpionship trophy. Hello NOT Top 10 Plays of the Week!
