  1. Not a fan of that one.
  2. Let's get back on topic, shall we? Merrimack has introduced new jerseys for the upcoming season. http://www.themackreport.com/news/merrimack-unveils-new-mens-and-womens-hockey-jerseys/ The home whites are my favorite.
  3. Not to mention the “spin-o-rama” debate... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/sports/hockey/nhl-clarifies-spin-o-rama-rule-in-light-of-raymond-shootout-goal/article14720458/
  4. ...and this... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/flyers/neuvirth-unlikely-hero-after-elliott-leaves-shootout-injury%3famp
  5. “I’ve personally never seen that so that means it never happens...” Not a blown out knee, but a two-second Google search found this... https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/oilers-fasth-leaves-shootout-early/
  6. That apparently depends on whether the NHL makes that change. If they do, the answer should automatically be “yes.”
  7. Goon claims that he's never seen anyone leave a shoot-out. If people are leaving 1-goal games late in the 3rd, trust me, there are people leaving during a shootout. But since Goon's apparently never seen anyone do so, it must be true. Besides, I read it on the internet...
  8. Red Wings. Two words. It's not that hard.
  9. Have I been advocating 320 minutes of sudden-death OT?
  10. Nice anecdotal evidence. I’ve seen fans leave a 3-2 game with 1:00 left on the clock in regulation. Are you claiming that a shootout is more popular than a one-goal game late in the 3rd?
  11. Actually, I hate that gimmick too, but I digress...
  12. Well, then we’d have to play 1x1 with no goalies so as to prevent injuries and preserve everyone’s strength for the playoffs...
  13. Hi! I’m extra innings in major league baseball, where we play 12, 14, 17, or even 20 innings to determine a regular season game-winner — even if it means wrecking the bullpen for a week. Have we met?
  14. Surely you used the word "surely" enough in two consecutive sentences.
  15. Nobody was arguing for unlimited overtime in the regular season...
  16. It all boils down to changing the rules for the post-season after a different set of criteria was used to decide the outcome of games in the regular season. Florida made the playoffs a few years ago thanks to an astronomical shoot-out record and was promptly bounced out in the first round. Why is a regular-season gimmick part of the criteria that decides who makes the playoffs and who doesn't?
  17. OK, so why don't we make hockey a full-time 3x3 game?
  18. If open space is the issue, why are you opposed to Olympic-size ice sheets?
  19. No thanks. Give me whites at home vs a variety of road colors instead of green (or the occasional black) vs white for every home game.
  20. OK, I'll play along. How about we allow fighting in college hockey too? Why not give them some exposure to it before the big time?
  21. So should college teams wear dark jerseys at home too? The NHL does...
  22. Great scoop, Sioux Volley! From May of 2017! I have some good intel on who my favorite is to win last year's NCAA hockey title, too. I don't want to completely give it away but it rhymes with "kenver."
  23. 3 x 3 followed by a shootout? I'd rather give each team's respective captain a pistol, march off 20 paces outward at center ice, and quick-draw.
  24. Sheesh, Shawn Bradley, how about having a double cheeseburger once in a while?
  25. I'm picking up on your snarkasm...the good news is, there are typically more than 20 fans at a men's basketball game.
