Just think the Hawk name has as many National titles as the latest Sioux logo does, Hawk name 1 (2016 MH) Last Sioux logo 1 (2001 Football) The logo leader is the geometric Sioux logo (1976-2000) with 3 basketball titles, and 5 hockey titles.

All you have to do is look on social media for the division. Everytime something is posted on a UND (enter sport here) page especially the men's hockey page, you will have one fan say Go Hawks, and a sh*t ton of replies of *Sioux, you mean Sioux, you misspelled Sioux, Sioux is not spelled H A W K S, etc. The hockey crowd thinks the REA will be immune from seeing the Hawks logo either on the jersey, on the ice, or in the Sioux Shop because they see Sioux logos and think that building is safe, reality will kick those people in the @ss as you can see what happened in other sports and sports buildings.

Every time UND played a major team in basketball prior to 2015, (k-state, Kansas, Wisconsin etc) they always mentioned the nickname issue until the Fighting Hawks was picked. Now you don't hear it anymore.

Anyone know what our OOC schedule looks like? I am sure we will do another home/home with NDSU, I hope after next season when we join the SL we can schedule Montana/MSU or Weber St for OOC games.

I guess that is one way to look at our situation. We can still be playoff eligible but can't win a conference title. Unlike a true indy we will have a BSC schedule all set up for us, we just need to provide the OOC games.

But not turnovers, bad shots, discipline? Free throws are part of coaching, players and coaches are both responsible.

Two other games were over 16,000; 16,300 in 2011-2012 at Kansas, and 16,553 at Wisconsin in 2013-14. 13,280 is the record at home (REA) 2001 Kansas at UND. UND vs Arizona 16,341...second largest.

It greatly improved than in past years, but agreed free throws are essential to winning a game and needs to be a big priority.

I like how Jones knew things weren't working (around the time conference play began) and changed it to the better. Will it continue, we will see. Also he brought tons and tons of noterity to the program. Everyone in this region was seeing our school in the dance, and that should help recruiting as now Jones can use the Dance trip as a recruiting tool.
