I understand where you are coming from, but I just think since its our school name, our state name the NCAA will not say Dakota is H&A because then we "Dakotans" both North and South are H&A, and even that would look ridiculous.
But its part of the name just like North Carolina and South Carolina but they both use Carolina.

Also:
It does NOT state you cannot use your school name.
But Dakota is NOT a nickname!!!! Its the name of the school. They are only targeting nicknames. There is 100% no way the NCAA would go after UND for using just Dakota.
Any ideas what would be a cool "alternate" jersey? Since it will be mostly hockey that will stand out since bball has just North Dakota on it. I think we could put Dakota on it and then come up with a cool logo.
I hope Fox posts Lake's mugshot if he gets arrested.
ps.. Bison fans should be so proud to have a fan like him. Since some people praise him over on BVille.
This is why I was unsure I wanted this bill. If its not a slam dunk victory then people's hopes are going to get crushed. So if it comes back unconstitutional then its back to picking out nicknames, and scheduling Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
This is a surprise. You would think after our DII team beat them at their house they wouldn't be on the phone trying to get a game at our house. I guess UNI is "scared".

Wouldn't be our luck if it come back being unconstitutional and we have to go through the retirement after all.
You said it yourself..."because a loss would eliminate NDSU being viewed as the superior program" So exactly who outside of Fargo views NDSU as a "superior" program? Do you have quotes from UNI, or SDSU or SIU? Because to me thats just the green and yellow kool-aid talking. If you would like I could put up a poll on AGS.com and let the FCS world vote to see if NDSU is a "superior" program. Because IMO the last time NDSU was "superior" was in the 80's and early 90's you know pre-Fargodome era.
