Does anyone know anything about QB Sean Rubalcaba from Grand Junction, CO? UND has an offer. 6'2" 175. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/133170/sean-rubalcaba Looks like UND is loading up on QB's for the future. Now lets load up on that OL to block for these QB's.

Home Games: SD Mines (doesn't matter not DI) Central Ark (backed out) Cal Poly (we lost to them in 2011) N. Arizona (haven't played since 1985) Montana (tough game) SUU (beat UND in 2010) Road Games: San Diego State (expect a loss) Sac St (possible win) Eastern Washington (Could go either way) Montana State (Yikes!!) UNC (we beat them in 2011) Getting 7 DI wins is going to be extremely tough!! I see possible wins (hard to predict this early) Cal Poly, NAU, SUU, Sac St, UNC and maybe EW. If we can get a Drake or a St. Francis to take Central Arkansas's place we might get to 7....that SD Mines hurts...BAD!!

Idaho 11,980 (I am thinking the loss of Boise St to the MWC hurts this number) Kent St 11,587 The winnner...........EASTERN MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4267!! Only 25 FCS teams did worse than this! How about this..MSU-Mankato 4290! Or this..Concordia-Moorhead 4685. Yes Concorida had bigger avg attendance than FBS Eastern Michigan. As they say on ESPN..C'mon man!!!!

UND plays 6 games against the Summit League including a home and home with WIU, and SDSU so lets go 6-0 and show Douple what kind of team he lost out to.

I think a key to attendance is winning. I remember in the 80's and early to mid 90's you can walk up to either Memorial Stadium, and the REA and a get a good seat. Because the teams were not winning. Between 1987 and 1997 UND was not the best on the ice. Also before 1993 UND was average til 1990 and horrible before then. The only sellout was either the Potato Bowl or the UND-NDSU game. It all about the "W". UND had that this year however the home schedule was pathetic. Only USD, Cal Poly and Drake as our home FCS teams, and if you look at attendace just of those games 7400 vs USD, 9930 vs CP, and 8484 vs Drake for an average of 8604. That is the only attendance that matters to me. Once those DII/NAIA teams are replaced with FCS teams attendance will rise, one we are playing for an AQ into the playoffs attendance will rise, and once marketing realizes that UND has football...attendance will rise. UND is battling hockey for attendance...NDSU is battling nobody for attendance. There is nothing else in Fargo but NDSU basketball (that doesn't have a home game the same day as football this season), and the Fargo Force (no contest). Also $$$ is a big thing too. Maybe to boost attendance is pay full price for football and get a discount on a hockey game or vice versa...not pay only $2 for a women's hockey game like at the USD game. Or maybe a football/hockey package where you pay 1 price for 2 events. Anything is better than nothing.

I watched the game last night, and that first half was the team I was hoping would show up this season. They did a great job. The second half was the team I was hoping would be the team never to return. That was horrible!! Up by 11 at the half on a team picked second in the BSC, only to come back at the end just to send it to OT (with a chance to win it if they learned how to make a FT). Shooting I give a B+. 3 pointers were good when we needed them, driving to the lane shots were alright, and jump shots could have been better. Defense C+. REBOUNDING!!!! You can't give Montana a chance for a second shot. It looked like in the second half we would never get the ball without them scoring. Turnovers...F!!! First half was bad with carring the ball calls, but second half was worse with bad passing. Free Throws...I give a flippin Z if there was such a rating. Obviously they need more time shooting them in practice. Last year was bad enough this year I thought it would improve...guess not. Coaching B+/A-. Brian Jones did a great job keeping his kids focused and to keep their heads up late when UND fell behind. This team is showing a lot of promise. Now UND has 2 more BSC tests this year. Dec 3rd at ISU and Dec 18th at Sac St. I hope we can go 4-0 and prove to the BSC teams and fans that allowing us in was no mistake and we will fight for that title!!

About as poor as a UND-NDSU game on a Tuesday???

Same with the Alerus last Saturday.

I thought it has been odd how UND hasn't played any hockey schools maybe because its out east I don't know. Maybe Faison needs to take some trips when UND goes out to Maine or New Hampshire and talk some football.

I wouldn't mind seeing UND play a cupcake FBS team instead of Mines or UCA (not both as we need an OOC home game). But only go the FBS route when all FCS teams have been exhausted. Remember we need 7 DI wins.

I don't think the playing field is leveled yet. Once we start conference play we will start to get as level as NDSU but not until we are "established" members of the Big Sky. IMO 2-5 years. NDSU struggled in their first couple seasons in the MVFC, so it takes time to adjust.

What is the largest attendance in the Betty? I hope our average goes up as we get ready for Big Sky play next season. As for this game..I am glad its on tv so the rest of the country can see our youngsters in action. GO SIOUX!!

Do you think tv hurts a playoff team, I blame the FSSN for our poor attendance in playoff games with Winona State...5000??

Last year NDSU had only 12,202 in their first ever playoff game in the Fargodome, UND had playoff attendance problems when we played Winona State back in the DII days...why is playoff attendance poor up here? Is it tv? Or is it opponents? With NDSU playing possibly James Madison do you think that would boost the attendance?

In 2009 there was 12,431 at the UND-USD game...lets try to break that!!

Bison fans on AGS are now claiming the Sioux nickname as a reason for UCA backing out...don't they know if it was true it would have been in the media, and plus the University would have said something since they are already prepared for retirement of the name. One UCA fan did say it was money, and a Coyote fan said UCA backed out of a home and home game with them years back seems like UCA is afraid of the Dakotas. So not a good rep for UCA.

Now is the time to get rid of this game. You have 8 conference games and 1 FBS game so that 7 DI win area is very much in jeopardy. Get rid of Mines and schedule 2 cupcake FCS games I don't care if its schollie or non-schollie just no NON DI teams.
