Besides women's basketball its the only sport they have not renewed in. NDSU beat UND in men's basketball, volleyball, and baseball...UND beat NDSU in basketball, volleyball, and baseball. So the only sport left is football. And with the 9 million UND threads on BVille there would be a lot of interest.

Difference in AD's. GT-every other year. BF-every year. Since NDSU's OOC is full for the next 3 seasons I guess we will have to wait until 2015 where only Montana is on the schedule. But since that is a road game and a possible loss...I don't see UND on their schedule in 2015 either because of our track record in the Fargodome (4-1) or going 0-2 before a possible FBS game or MVFC play is not where NDSU would like to be.

They have beaten UND 3 times since 1993 so I see their point.

So NDSU shouldn't schedule UND because UND may beat them in front of potential recruits. WOW. Never saw that coming.

And a UND-NDSU game is not good for business but a Wagner-NDSU game is better, or a NDSU-St. Francis. Got it.

NDSU had 5 home games in 2007. I guess that explains why they played at SHSU..they hosted them in 07. I knew GT wouldn't pick a road OOC game besides the money game since going playoff eligible. If they don't go on the road this season (which GT won't) NDSU's next OOC FCS game on the road at Montana 2015 because its a home and home.

Maybe its because SHSU was an easy win..(2008 4-6). I think GT is scared about losing to UND since getting through the MVFC is tough enough so you need the 3 OOC cupcakes to get to that 7 win mark.

Why did GT agree in 2009 with 5 home games??

You know its not the end of the world if NDSU plays 5 home games compared to 6. NDSU has done that recently...2009 at SHSU, at Iowa State, vs Wagner. I now see what NDSU fans demand 6 home games every year...2009 was their 3-8 year.

Again look at my post...AFTER transition. I go on AGS and CS there are APP state fans, and Montana fans GSU fans all laughing at NDSU's OOC foes. GT has a system play the cupcakes and easy FBS games and get those 7 DI wins. It has worked the last 2 seasons. I don't consider Montana and MSU cupcakes but up to now everyone else has been cupcakes.

If the Sioux name stays, throw the IPF idea out the window. There won't be a team to use it, unless Central or Red River use it. As for the NDSU DC going to USC...good for him.

Sorry UND is worse than: Austin Peay, Central Conn State, Wagner, Morgan State, Lafayette, and St. Francis? Those are your home games since being playoff eligible. I left out South Dakota since they are a former NCC team. 4 years of OOC cupcakes got you a NC. Hey whatever works...right?

I hope he would. I think Dave is on the fence. He wants to please everyone...that's why he says "no comment" about it.

And you became the laughing stock of the FCS after your strong transition for your cupcake OOC teams you replaced UND with.

Doesn't restaurants and stores benefit more if UND was in town than say Wagner? People drive down, spend money in Fargo not just at the dome but throughout the city eat at places that is not in Grand Forks and pump more money into Fargo's ecomomy not to mention the extra sales tax money to help for flood protection. UND did pretty good in attendance at the Alerus before the transition and its not only NDSU playing them they did good against St. Cloud State, Augustana...they had over 10,000 against A&M-Kingsville. UND-NDSU was the biggest game everyone talked about before NDSU jumped ship to the GWFC. Now things are starting to return to normal with record setting games in volleyball, basketball (NDSU's new attendance record now is against UND), and soon football. IMO as long as Gene Taylor is the AD....that game will never be scheduled unless its the playoffs.

I think UND needs to come out with tv ads and in the media to broadcast the dangers of keeping the name. Have O'Keefe, Kleinsasser, Phil Jackson. High profile alumns come out and say "retire the name". Show UND losing playoff games on the road, show them in their green road "North Dakota" hockey jerseys from 1993(I believe) as that will be a reality if the name stays. We need to educate the state why the name needs to be retired. Show UND vs Minnesota and Wisconsin and how not playing them ever will be an empty feeling.

That just leaves Hakstol as the only pro-Sioux name they have left. There has to be some pressure on him to say its time for the name to be retired.

It shocked me when SDSU came out and said we will back out of the football game in 2013 if they stay on the list...If a former NCC member says this what is keeping USD, NDSU, UNC from doing this. Could you imagine if UNC said we won't play you and yet they are our "traveling buddy". Just retire the name and be on everyone's good list.

There is so much to lose by keeping the name...I say keep it retired.
