If UND athletics are in a money crunch would Hak take a pay cut to help with the situation. I would think he would still coach at UND for cheap he isn't in it for the money or I would think he would go pro for more money.

I wouldn't contact his employer over this, that's stupid. Telling the NCAA or even NDSU is fine but as much as I dislike Lakes I wouldn't think of harassing his employer that is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

Maybe Jim sees him as a public @ss and not a public figure.

They don't care about off field violations so why should they care about this. Only way to get Gene Taylor's attention is a nice letter from the NCAA saying "you are now on probation".

Skip the first game (Minnesota-Morris), and their real test will be game 2 at #21 Wisconsin. If UND can hang with them or upset them this team will be a threat, but if UND suffers injuries or get blown out by 30 then it may be a long season. A lot of ifs until Nov 24th (NDSU).

Why? Just curious. Is it because NDSU went to the dance half a decade ago? Is it because the football team will win another NC so it will carry on to the basketball team or because NDSU won in FARGO last year even thought UND was without 2 starters for 40 minutes for one (Huff), and 37 minutes for the other (Brekke). Just wondering.

UND won't fire Faison and he shouldn't be fired if you looked what he has done with UND athletics as a whole. He got us into the BSC and the NCHC, he improved our men's basketball and women's volleyball teams with good coaches. Hak is still there because he has gotten UND in the playoffs every year he has been there. Baseball is now in an auto bid conference of the WAC. Only women's basketball and football are on the decline hopefully Brewster can improve in his second season so that leaves football and the Muss question. I think Faison jumped the gun after the GWFC title in giving muss the extention but he thought like the rest of us this team was on the upswing I am sure he (and the rest of us) regret that extention. So fire Muss yes, fire Faison no.

And Mussman and Faison will hear it in person with all the boos and the comments flowing from the crowd. Faison knows if he doesn't replace Muss UND football tickets will be a VERY hard sell next season as fans won't have any (if they still do) faith in Muss and this coaching staff. Especially if UND goes to San Jose and totally get wiped out by an FBS team from the MWC.

I think Faison got the fans message by looking at the empty seats in the Alerus. If you are happy with the team you show up, attendance is a great barometer on how good your team is. If you see a packed house with SRO fans then you have something special, when you hear crickets chirping when your opponent is about to snap the football on a third and long, then you have a problem. UND's attendance was growing and growing until the loss to SDSU then its been downhill since. If fans wear paper bags on their heads you have a problem. Fans are the reason schools have teams, because fans = money. If UND were in a 6 year slump in hockey with no playoff appearances I bet tickets would open up at the REA a lot more easier than it is now. Just look at volleyball how attendance has skyrocketed due to success on the court. The Alerus will get back to the DII days of attendance once the product on the field is good.

Or if the Super 5 leave the Big Sky and MVFC can move up as a whole into the "new" FBS.
